Not to be outdone by the likes of Alvin Kamara and Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs pulled off a Monday night miracle for those who had him as a Week 16 hammer. Diggs exploded for 9 catches, 145 yards, and 3 TDs as the Bills stomped the Patriots.
Diggs, shockingly, was drafted as late as the 6th round in fantasy leagues this year due to uncertainty around production of WRs who change teams in the offseason. Safe to say that concern was misguided as it pertains to an elite talent like Diggs:
Per Schefter, the Bills became the first team to sweep the Patriots in the regular season since 2000. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. I just want Cam to get some sleep.
It seems like it was days ago, but since we last released a newsletter Dwayne Haskins was cut by Washington. I do not have a hot taek for you at this time.
This is going to be a crazy week as far as keeping track of all the injuries and team-level motivations for Week 17, so we’ll save most of that for later in the week as we get more information.
What we do know so far...Jared Goff has been ruled out and John Wolford will start vs. the Cards...Darrell Henderson is headed to IR...Brandon Aiyuk won’t play this week. Neither will Joe Mixon and Frank Gore. It sounds like the Chiefs studs will sit. More tomorrow.
Here’s everything else on my radar this morning...
- Happy Birthday to Matthew. Of course he waited to be born until right after the fantasy season finishes.
- What Worked In Fantasy Football In 2020. Davis Mattek has a nice breakdown on the macro trends that defined the fantasy season.
Russel Okung will become the first NFL player to be paid in Bitcoin. Wake me up when Rodrigo Blakenship is getting paid in Ethereum.
- Trevor Lawrence To The Jags. Jacksonville is gonna be fun as hell next year.
