In today’s Fantasy Life Newsletter we get you ready for Week 7 with all the news you need to know. It's 10/24. Take it away, Peter Overzet…

The big news this morning is the uncertainty on Darren Waller’s status after he was downgraded to questionable yesterday. We’ll have more on that below, as well as some ideas for contingency plans.

The Chiefs-Titans game is the marquee matchup today with a whopping 57.5 point over/under. We also have multiple teams with big implied team totals expected to blowout their opponents based on the current spread:

  • Rams (-16.5) vs. Lions - 33.25 implied team total
  • Cardinals (-18) vs. Texans - 32.5 implied team total
  • Bucs (-11.5) vs. Bears - 29.5 implied team total

If you’re playing DFS today, the key is trying to figure out whether much of that production will come through the passing game or on the ground. Of those three teams, the Bucs have been the team most willing to keep chucking even when leading.

If you have any specific start/sit questions, be sure to check out our free Week 7 fantasy rankings by Waz, which were posted in yesterday’s newsletter.

* Darren Waller injured his “inner ankle and heel” during Friday’s practice and is now truly questionable for the Raiders-Eagles game later this afternoon. He plans to test things out in warmups, but considering this is a later game, make sure you have a backup plan ready. Matthew has some ideas for you...

* DeVante Parker (shoulder, hamstring) will not play today vs. the Falcons. He returned to practice this week, but is still apparently a week away. Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gesicki will continue to see increased volume.

* Sterling Shepard (hamstring) will not play today.

* Despite a solid game last week, Rhamondre Stevenson is a healthy scratch.

* Antonio Brown, Rob Gronkowski, Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, Christian McCaffrey, Terrace Marshall, Latavius Murray, Sammy Watkins, Curtis Samuel, Jimmy Graham, Tevin Coleman, Trey Lance and T.Y. Hilton.

* Tyreek Hill (quad) will play today, but is still dealing with his quadriceps injury. His snap count was down last week, but his usage remained solid. Fire up Hill as you normally would.

* Antonio Gibson has been playing through a hairline fracture in his shin, per Adam Schefter, but is good to go today. “The second-year running back has shown improvement and is feeling better lately, providing encouragement for Washington,” said Schefter.

* Other than Shepard, all of the questionable Giants pass catchers—Darius Slayton (hamstring), John Ross (hamstring), and Evan Engram (calf)—will play today.

* Julio Jones, Allen Robinson, Travis Kelce, Terry McLaurin, Dallas Goedert, Chase Edmonds, Danny Amendola, Sony Michel, D’Andre Swift, Damien Williams, and Jimmy Garoppolo.

Kevin Roth is a meteorologist who specializes in weather impacts for fantasy sports. He has a note for us on the Sunday Night Football game...

The biggest concern this week is IND @ SF, where we’ll see a mix of rain and winds that will cause issues for the offense. Not only do I expect rain all game, I think we’re looking at heavy rain too, making throwing and catching the ball a bit of a struggle. I expect both teams stick to the ground game a bit more than usual, making for a lower-scoring battle. For final updates you can follow me on Twitter, @kevinrothwx.

I have a handful of bets up on Betsperts for today’s games if you want to tail me (username: peteroverzet). Good luck today and enjoy another day full of football.
