#26 Wednesdays Are For The Stats 🧮

Last night’s presidential debate was such a trainwreck that people on Twitter were chomping at the bit for Thursday Night Football to get here. Not sure that’s even a hot take. There’s a million things that I would rather watch, including the Broncos at the Jets.

Just how bad are the Jets? Well, they are 2.5 point underdogs at home to a 0-3 team starting its 3rd string QB and playing without it’s All Pro linebacker and Pro Bowl WR. Brett Rypien vs. Sam Darnold isn’t the matchup we want, but it’s the one we deserve right now. Time to eat our peas and carrots.

Elsewhere around the league, we had our first COVID-19 team outbreak with 9 members of the Tennessee Titans testing positive, including a long snapper (played 10 snaps Sunday vs. the Vikings) and a defensive tackle (51 snaps). ESPN’s Kevin Seifert has a full breakdown on everything we know at the moment. As of now, both the Titans and Vikings are scheduled to play on Sunday, but this is obviously a fluid situation that will hinge on subsequent testing.

Chris Godwin is out this week with the hamstring. Fire up Scotty Miller...Diontae Johnson remains in the concussion protocol... Phillip Lindsay got in limited work at practice yesterday...As mentioned above, Brett Rypien has been named the starting QB in Denver. Mike Clay has the scouting report..Dallas Goedert will miss at least three weeks...Jamison Crowder is trending up for Thursday...DJ Chark passed all tests and will practice today...If you play in a dynasty league, Matthew has a forward-thinking add for you.
