In a game fitting for our current times, the Broncos beat the Jets 37-28 on TNF in an ugly, albeit surprisingly entertaining game.
The Jets dropped to 0-4 and announced after the game that Adam Gase would be fired. Haha, just kidding. The only person who is going to outlive Frank Gore in the NFL is Gase. The Athletic's Connor Hughes actually reported after the game that Gase will not be fired following the loss.
We now set our sights on Sunday as we try to navigate postponed games, soft tissue injuries, and agonizing decisions like, do I start Greg Ward or Andy Isabella? Hmm, that’s close. Gimme Ward with Christian Kirk coming back. Did I just answer my own hypothetical start/sit question? It’s been a long week.
The Definitive Matthew Berry Guide to Trading In 2020: In his Week 4 Love/Hate column, Matthew breaks down the art of a fantasy deal. I like his suggestion of putting a time limit on an offer. Same for Alshon Jeffery...Mike Williams (hamstring) missed practice...DJ Chark (chest/back), Michael Thomas (ankle), and Julio Jones (hamstring) all got in limited practices yesterday...Calvin Ridley (ankle) missed practice Thursday...Odell Beckham was added to the Browns’ injury report with a back issue...Jimmy Garoppolo and Raheem Mostert still aren’t practicing...Diontae Johnson is apparently progressing well from his concussion and participated in individual drills yesterday...Kareem Hunt’s groin “isn’t believed to be serious.” We should probably check on Melvin Gordon’s while we are at it...Leonard Fournette and Chris Godwin were once again non-participants at Thursday’s Bucs practice...
