#287 🚨 Updated Week 14 Fantasy Rankings

In today’s Fantasy Life Newsletter presented by Hulu + Live TV, Waz shares his updated ranks and Pete breaks down all of the injury situations. It's 12/11. Take it away, Peter Overzet…

For most leagues, Week 14 marks the end of the regular season. If you’re on the bubble, don’t be afraid to take some chances in your lineup by prioritizing ceiling over safety.

Below we have Waz’s updated Week 14 ranks and some notes from me on all of the injury situations worth monitoring that could shake these up.

* The Seahawks backfield is a bit of a mess right now, but it’s worth dissecting for their juicy matchup this week vs. the Texans. Adrian Peterson and Travis Homer have already been ruled out. I like Waz’s aggressive ranking on Rashaad Penny (RB18), but watch out for Alex Collins, who isn’t on the injury report after missing last week. I imagine this could be closer to a 50-50 split, but both would still have flex appeal.

* Jets WR Elijah Moore (WR20) is listed as questionable vs. the Saints after not practicing all week. Keep an eye on his practice status today, but I’m comfortable firing him up as a WR2 if he’s active. Both Michael Carter and Tevin Coleman are out for the Jets, so Ty Johnson (RB32) and Austin Walter (RB49) will lead the backfield.

* Both Browns TEs Harrison Bryant (ankle) and David Njoku (COVID) are out vs. the Ravens, which means Austin Hooper (TE12) is now a fringe TE1 on the week.

* The Lions are in shambles as they head into a tough matchup vs. the Broncos. RB D’Andre Swift has already been ruled out, TE T.J. Hockenson is listed as doubtful with his hand injury, and Jamaal Williams has been placed on the COVID list. Godwin Igwebuike (RB22) will lead the backfield with Jermar Jefferson (RB39) mixing in. The ceiling is capped in this matchup, but the volume should be there for Igwebuike in particular.

* Similar to the Lions, the Giants are in rough shape heading into this matchup against the Chargers. Mike Glennon (QB27) will start once again after getting cleared from the concussion protocol. Kadarius Toney has been ruled out again, while Sterling Shepard (WR48) and Kenny Golladay (WR72) are both listed as questionable. Shepard is probably fine in a pinch, but this isn’t an offense you want to be invested in right now.

* In that same game, Keenan Allen has been ruled out with COVID, but it sounds like Mike Williams (WR7) will be able to go. If so, he’s a smash start. One or two of Jalen Guyton (WR43), Joshua Palmer (WR56), Jared Cook (TE15), and Donald Parham are likely to pop up with a solid game in Allen’s absence.

* 49ers RB Eli Mitchell will not play Sunday vs. the Bengals, leaving Jeff Wilson Jr. (RB17) and JaMycal Hasty to lead the backfield. Wilson should earn most of the early down work, but I would expect Hasty to operate as the primary pass-catching back and could be started as a desperation play in PPR leagues. Also of note, Deebo Samuel (WR35) is questionable for the game after getting in a limited practice on Friday and Ian Rapoport said he has “a chance” to play. If he is active, you can’t sit him despite the current conservative ranking.

* Rams RB Darrell Henderson (RB28) got in a limited practice Friday. We’ll get more information from today’s practice, but this could be another GTD on Monday night vs. the Cardinals. If we don’t get more information in the next 24 hours, I’d want to have a pretty good insurance plan to risk waiting on him (Sony Michel, James Conner, etc.).
