#39 Where Will Le’Veon Bell Sign??

Posted on

Never a dull moment in the NFL. We got COVID in Atlanta and Le’Veon Bell on the move. Let’s get to it...

Le’Veon Bell to the Chiefs? As of 10am, Bell has narrowed down his decision to 3 teams: Dolphins, Chiefs, and Bills. Chiefs and Dolphins seem the most likely based on some breadcrumbs uncovered by internet sleuths and reporters: Patrick Mahomes and Bell followed each other on Twitter last night and Bell liked a tweet from a Chiefs account, Arrowhead Pride. Jeremy Fowler notes Bell trains in Miami, which makes that destination seem plausible as well.

COVID In Atlanta. The Falcons are shutting down their facility after one additional positive test (on top of DT Marlon Davidson’s test) and working virtually today, per Adam Schefter. This, as you can imagine, puts their Week 6 game vs. the Vikings in jeopardy pending future testing this week. It also would be a huge blow for fantasy gamers who went heavy for Alexander Mattison on waivers.

Will Melvin Gordon get suspended? Gordon was charged with a DUI late Tuesday night in Denver, but we haven’t heard how the team plans to handle the situation yet. Phillip Lindsay would start Week 6 if he receives a suspension.

Week 6 Prep. Here’s what I’m reading this morning. Sharp Football, Rotoviz, and ESPN+ are all part of the Rotopass package

Loved this article on Sharp Football by Dan Pizzuta about how D.K. Metcalf (double moves) & Robby Anderson (quick slants) are using their speed to put up big numbers. Via Warren Sharp: In 5 games this year Anderson has nearly the same yards after catch on short targets as he did his previous two years with the Jets combined.

Got RBs? Shawn Siegele at Rotoviz runs through every backfield in the AFC in his Week 6 Ultimate Zero RB Watch list. Running backs, like milk, are a rich source of nutrients for your fantasy team.

Mike Clay is back with his key WR/CB matchups for Week 6. The Dolphins are favored for the first time under Brian Flores this week and the WRs have a tasty matchup vs. the Jets.

Seattle is giving up an absurd amount of PPR points to opposing WRs (via Mike Beers). DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk are up next after their Week 6 bye.

Injury Roundup. Mike Evans DNP yesterday, but Chris Godwin practiced “quite a bit” according to Greg Auman. Davante Adams was a full participant at practice yesterday. This Packers-Buccaneers game is going to be fun...Drew Lock was a full participant at Wednesday’s practice...Jarvis Landry missed practice Wednesday...Baker Mayfield (chest) could play even if he doesn’t get full practice reps this week...Jimmy Garoppolo logged a full practice yesterday...Eric Ebron and Diontae Johnson sat out practice. Chase Claypool could go off again...DeSean Jackson managed a limited practice...Cam Newton was activated from the COVID-19 list...Julio Jones (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday...Darius Slayton (foot) was limited at Wednesday’s practice...DJ Chark and Laviska Shenault missed practice yesterday. Chark (ankle) seems more worrisome than Shenault...The Titans placed RB Darrynton Evans on short-term IR.
