#41 Everything You Need To Know Before Setting Your Lineup

Posted on

This week flew by with Tuesday Night Football compressing things. Here’s everything I’m thinking about for today’s set of games…

Who’s in and who’s out for Week 6?

Julio Jones (hamstring) is active and was not listed on the team’s final injury report. This is a tough situation to get a read on with both aggravation and a limited role possible, but hard to sit him unless you have really good options.

DJ Chark (ankle) is active after being listed as questionable and testing his ankle in pregame warmups. There are concerns, however, on how effective he’ll be.

We have to wait and see for Leonard Forunette, who has been battling a high ankle sprain. Jene Bramel thinks he’s unlikely to have fully recovered and will most likely have a limited role.

ACTIVE: Odell Beckham (illness), Jarvis Landry (hip/rib), Baker Mayfield (rib), Drew Lock (shoulder), Breshad Perriman (ankle), Davante Adams, Chris Godwin, Kyle Allen, Phillip Lindsay, A.J. Green, Adrian Peterson, and Jimmy Garoppolo

INACTIVE: Curtis Samuel, Melvin Gordon, Noah Fant, K.J. Hamler, Dalvin Cook, Mo Alie-Cox, Diontae Johnson, DeSean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery, Sam Darnold, Jordan Akins

For more details on injury situations, I highly recommend Jene Bramel’s Gameday Injury Expectation report on Footballguys, part of the Rotopass network

I demand more late games. We have nine 1pm games and two 4pm games today. Brady and Rodgers better deliver at 4:25pm because we have no other choices (sorry Dolphins, this is about the Jets, not you).

Shoutout in Tampa. We have six games today with over/unders north of 50 total points with the aforementioned Packers-Bucs game having the highest total (55).

What about the COVID tests? Per Schefter, A total of nine players from six teams (Eagles, Falcons, Jaguars, Panthers, Patriots, and Ravens) have placed at least one player on the COVID list since yesterday. Miraculously, all of the games are scheduled to be played as of now.

Start/sit decisions. Phillip Lindsay will get the start vs. the Patriots today with Melvin Gordon out. He’s only $4300 on DraftKings and should see 15+ touches...Chase Claypool, who is coming off a nuclear 4 TD game, is expected to get the majority of reps at wide receiver Sunday with Diontae Johnson ruled out. He’s going to be popular in DFS, but everything is set up perfectly for him to have a big game again…Matthew’s going back to Mike Davis in his LOVE/HATE for Week 6. “90% CMC” is set up for another monster workload today vs. the Bears.

Stay Safe. Taunt your leaguemates:

Are all interceptions created equally? Interesting chart here that weights interceptions based on how much they cost their team a chance to win. Not a good look for Carson Wentz and, surprisingly, Kyler Murray

Monday Night Football: Zack Moss is expected to play after missing a couple weeks. John Brown is listed as questionable after not playing last week. Sammy Watkins will not play. Dawson Knox won’t play either.

Loose ends. Sony Michel was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list…Christian McCaffrey is most likely to return in Week 8.
