#46 Daniel Jones Did What??!

Posted on

Oh no, Daniel Jones. Oh no. You are begging to get meme’d with a play like that and the internet didn’t let you down. After the play, his teammates remained stoic on the sideline, for they would never laugh at such a thing...

The stumblin’, fumblin’ Giants lost to the Eagles last night 22-21 on a last second TD pass from Carson Wentz to Boston Scott. Wentz looked solid, Travis Fulgham continued his solid string of performances, and Scott stepped in admirably for Miles Sanders, rushing for 46 yards and catching 3 balls for 46 yards, including that game-winning touchdown. DeSean Jackson, however, suffered a high ankle sprain at the end of the game on a punt return. I understand Jackson is still explosive, but you can’t afford to have him returning punts and risking injuries when you have the thinnest pass catching corps in the league.

Sunday Schedule Shuffling. The Raiders entire offensive line was put on the COVID-19 list after OL Trent Brown tested positive for the virus and the NFL subsequently moved the Bucs-Raiders game from Sunday night to Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m. eastern time. As of this morning, there were no more positive tests and their game is on track to be played

With some uncertainty around the Raiders game, the NFL also moved the Seahahwks-Cardinals game to Sunday Night Football. After a campaign from DFS players, DraftKings and Fanduel have elected to keep the game on the Main Slate, which means we get a full, day-long DFS sweat culminating in the fantasy game of the week. Can’t wait.

Injury roundup. There are lots of guys who either missed practice or were limited in practice yesterday. The most concerning of them right now is Michael Thomas, who tweaked his hamstring at the start of practice Wednesday and now appears to be a long shot to play. The other is Joe Mixon, who didn’t practice Friday and has yet to practice this week with a foot injury. We’ll be back on Sunday with a full rundown of who’s in and who’s out, but here is the full rundown from Thursday...

DeAndre Hopkins did not practice again on Thursday. I’m a little worried about how effective he’ll be on Sunday night…Tyler Higbee (hand) and Darrell Henderson (thigh) didn’t practice yesterday...In addition, Jamison Crowder (groin), A.J. Brown (knee), John Brown (knee), and Sammy Watkins (hamstring) didn’t practice...Jarvis Landry (ribs/hip), Chris Godwin (hamstring), Mike Evans (ankle), Calvin Ridley (elbow), and Julio Jones (hamstring) were all limited at practice Thursday...Noah Fant and Jonnu Smith both practiced in full yesterday...Zach Ertz (ankle) was placed on injured reserve. He is rumored to be sidelined for 4-to-6 weeks...Dallas Goedert is eyeing a Week 10 return.

Loose ends. What Is Matthew’s Job Title? Here’s the truth...Adam Gase Insists It’s Way Too Early To Think About Destroying Trevor Lawrence. Excuse me officer, I’d like to report a murder by The Onion...D.J. Moore vs. Robby Anderson has been a hot topic of conversation. Who is the true alpha? Pat Kerrane breaks it down here...Matthew Freedman joined the Splash Play pod last night to give out our favorite picks and DFS plays for Week 7...Jonathan Bales is one of the sharpest people in the fantasy space. I picked his brain about DFS and tournament strategy.

Talk to you all on Sunday.
