#82 Tua Is Back & Dalvin Is Ready To Rock 🎸

Posted on

First off, I want to wish a speedy recovery to Matthew after testing positive for COVID earlier this week. If you want to drop him a line on Twitter, I’m sure he’d appreciate it.

As usual, we have a lot of moving pieces this morning. Let’s check in on all of the most important situations to monitor before setting your lineups for Week 13…

  • Tua Tagovailoa (thumb) will start at QB today for the Dolphins, pushing Ryan Fitzpatrick back to the bench. For fantasy, this is a slight hit to the passing game, but the team is in a great spot vs. the Bengals. The team is also getting Myles Gaskin back, who is popping in my “Injury Return Model”. He was activated from IR after two weeks of individual drills and reconditioning. Salvon Ahmed, Matt Breida, and DeAndre Washington are all inactive today. Fire him Gaskin everywhere you got him.
  • Colt McCoy is expected to start for the Giants today in place of Daniel Jones, who is still dealing with a hamstring injury. The real question here is if McCoy can make the offense functional enough to Let Russ Cook or not. I don’t think it’s *that* big of a drop off from Jones, so I’m interested in playing some SEA passing game in DFS.
  • Dalvin Cook is ready to rock, despite suffering a minor ankle sprain last week. He practiced in full on Friday and Alexander Mattison (appendicitis) is inactive. Cook should be in line for 20+ touches again today in a nice matchup vs. the Jags. Mike Boone will mix in some behind him.
  • Jordan Howard is expected to be active for the Eagles today. Prepare for some Miles Sanders vulturing...David Johnson (concussion) was activated off IR on Saturday and is set to play vs. the Colts.

Full injury rundown:

ACTIVE: Allen Robenson (knee), Darnell Mooney (knee), Julio Jones (hamstring), Todd Gurley (knee), Carlos Hyde (turf toe), Kallen Ballage (ankle), Cam Newton (abdomen)

OUT: Josh Jacobs, Jonnu Smith, Irv Smith, Alexander Mattison, Kenny Golladay, Matt Breida, Larry Fitzgerald, Isaiah Coulter

SNF & MNF & TNF. Via Schefter: “Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who didn’t practice again Saturday and is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game due to a stomach illness, should be ready to play but they also need to see how he’s feeling pregame before making any final decisions”...Phillip Lindsay (knee) is expected to play tonight, but might be limited...Jerry Jeudy (ankle) is also expected to play...Lamar Jackson can be activated today or tomorrow and looks likely to play Tuesday night. Mark Andrews and Willie Snead appear unlikely to play...
