No one wants a stagnant roster. It's time to make some moves.

Let’s get into some buyin’, sellin’ and holdin’. 

BUY

Lineups are busted. Our benches were on fire. Three weeks down and we're in so much pain. 

BUT there's plenty of moves to be made. This week, we're buying: 

WR Garret Wilson, New York Jets

No, I'm not high on ayahuasca right now. 

Yes, I think you should buy Garret Wilson. 

Look, I know Wilson hasn't gotten off to a great start with only a total of 150 yards and 1 TD so far. He hasn't had a WR1 week in fantasy yet, which is a huge bummer to those that drafted him.

  • Week 1: WR 33
  • Week 2: WR 33
  • Week 3: WR 26

But managers feeling bummed out is exactly why Wilson is a perfect candidate to buy right now. Managers are getting a little antsy! They didn't draft the Jets WR1 just for him to drop measly single-digit points in their lineup each week. 

“So… why should we buy those measly single-digit points?” Well, despite Wilson’s lower-end production, he still leads his team in target share. Yes, Aaron Rodgers IS trying to get him the ball. 

And as we saw in Week 3, beautiful things can happen when Rodgers and Wilson connect. So I'm trusting the targets and putting out trade offers this week.

But also, yes — the ayahuasca told me to buy him. 

RB Aaron Jones, Minnesota Vikings

Shhh! Do you hear that? 

You probably haven't noticed… Not with all the buzz surrounding Alvin Kamara's four-TD game. Or maybe you can't hear it over the shouts of, “My TE didn’t score! NOT ONCE!”

But just quiet your mind for a second. 

I need you to listen to what's happening in MIN, because Aaron Jones has been trying to tell us something. Check out his rushing and receiving totals through three weeks:

  • Week 1: 14-94-1 (2 rec, 15 yds) 
  • Week 2: 9-32-0 (5 rec, 36 yds)
  • Week 3: 19-102-0 (5 rec, 45 yds, 1 TD)

Jones is not only consistently earning yards and TDs, but he's secured nearly a quarter of the target share in Minnesota over the last few weeks. If your league rewards points for receptions, Jones is a solid buying option right now. Especially while no one is listening.

So, quiet your mind. And put in those trade offers.

RB Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

If we're looking at patterns and trying to capitalize on a shift before it happens, then it's time to buy Bucky before it’s too late. 

The writing's on the wall. Bucky has been super efficient with his carries this season:

  • Rachaad White: 31 carries / 66 yards / 2.1 YPC
  • Bucky Irving: 25 carries / 154 yards / 6.2 YPC

But more than that, Bucky's usage is on the rise. Here's his percentage of rushes in Tampa through three weeks:

  • Week 1: 37.5%
  • Week 2: 41.2%
  • Week 3: 56.3%

Oh and Tampa's HC, Todd Bowles, said Irving deserves more snaps. 

Coach speak or not, I'm falling for it.

One play is worth 1,000 words? Yeaaaah. I'm buying.

You see, sometimes all it takes is one single play to build a narrative. Sometimes a single screenshot of a disappointed fan in the stands or a photo of an offensive line caught with their pants down can affect your leaguemates' opinions of an entire franchise.

Your league is watching these moments go viral online, and it may be something to capitalize on in the future.

We need to read between the lines and think about selling inconsistency. This week, we're selling:

WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks

Roller coasters are fun, but not in fantasy football. 

And currently, JSN looks to be taking us all for a ride:

  • Week 1: 2-19-0 (WR 76)
  • Week 2: 12-117-0 (WR 12)
  • Week 3: 3-39-0 (WR 60)

Come on now. Nine percent of targets in Week 3? Oof. I won't blame you for holding, given JSN’s potential ceiling games. But I’m just not excited about the high variability in production until we see more consistency in his usage on the field. 

JSN is in pre-sale territory for me: I'm buckling in, waiting for the next incline, and immediately selling before the next big drop.

TEs - All of em. Everywhere.

It's safe to say the top TEs drafted this year are having Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad days. 

Not only did Sam LaPorta (drafted TE1) and Trey McBride get banged up in Week 3, but Mark Andrews IS COMPLETELY MISSING (and the search party is about to stop looking).

Sometimes a trade isn't worth the return. Sometimes, we just need to appreciate what we've got, while we've got it. This week, we're holding:

RB Devin Singletary, New York Giants

Was Devin Singletary the perfect Zero RB draft pick?! 

A mid-round RB scoring more than many of his early-round counterparts WHO ALSO is “playing out of his damn mind”? SIGN ME UP. 

This is everything Singletary drafters had hoped for. Why sell when you can reap the benefits? 

If you don’t have Singletary on your roster… Have you considered buying?

WR Jauan Jennings, San Francisco 49ers

The "Next Man Up" bug was biting hardddd after Deebo Samuel suffered a calf strain in Week 2. 

But even with Jauan Jennings being in plenty of waiver wire articles this week, a large number of fantasy managers had already acquired him on waivers PRIOR to his massive performance in Week 3. 

Despite his massive stat line, Jennings is a hold, because I just don't think anyone is buying. You see, leaguemates who didn't know Jennings existed before SNF kicked off are kicking themselves, but they know Jennings' performance was his ceiling. And they also know that Deebo and George Kittle's returns (along with Brandon Aiyuk's presence) are barriers to long-term success.

The selling points are far and few between.

If you CAN get a trade in motion, take it. But otherwise, hold your waiver wire darling tight and be thankful for the comfortable starts you'll continue to have for at least the next few weeks. (Even if they're not quite as explosive.)
