What a way to kick off the 2024 NFL Season! 

A rematch of last year's AFC title game — when the Ravens inexplicably bailed out of their running game and it cost them a chance to go to the Super Bowl. I bet the Ravens that day. I'm still bitter. Fast-forward to Thursday night and we have a “1-bag” Sharp Score in the Ravens.

The Fantasy Life game model has this game with a 5-star edge for the Ravens, projecting it at +1.5 vs. the current odds of +3. 

Sure, the Ravens added Derrick Henry. But they're also trotting out three new offensive linemen and a new defensive coordinator. 

Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes is still Patrick Mahomes. And KC Defensive. Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo won't be surprised by whatever the Ravens have planned. 

The sharps like the Ravens plus the points. The public has been hammering the Ravens plus the points. Me? I have no interest in betting against Mahomes - defending Super Bowl Champs are 14-9-1 in Week 1 ATS since 2000. 

In Mahomes we trust. I'll take the Chiefs -3 at +100 (in most places). And if it moves to KC -2.5, and you can lay less than a FG with the best QB on the planet? Sign me up for that, too.
