Travis Kelce Novelty Props: Retirement Predictions, Taylor Swift Attendance — and more
If you drafted Travis Kelce in fantasy over the last few years, you don’t need me to tell you what this man has accomplished. In fact, Freedman’s already walked you through Travis Kelce’s Outlook for 2024.
But despite what anyone tells you about Kelce’s yards, TDs, projections, and Super Bowl rings… There’s more context to consider.
And there are even more bets to be made.
These are the REAL Travis Kelce bets that I’m taking in 2024.
2024 KC Super Bowl Bets: Another One??
Like a Kelce “viva Las Vegas” chant, Chiefs fans can be heard singing their infamous mantra of 2024: “Three-Peat!”
And while it’s fun to imagine a back-to-back-to-back Super Bowl championship, it’s obviously not a guarantee for the franchise.
But there are other infamous “Super Things” that the world is chanting for in excess.
Which will we get first? And will they come before the Chiefs secure another SB win?
Let’s place our bets.
🏆 Chiefs SB Before Grand Theft Auto 6 ?
“We really got another Chiefs Super Bowl before we got GTA6,” we all say in unison.
Yes. It’s possible we’ll be seeing the memes roll in come February. With GTA’s next release date confirmed as nothing more than “Fall 2025,” the odds are in KC’s favor on this one.
Unless one of the other 15 teams from the AFC can overthrow the powerhouse that is Andy Reid & Co., we might just have to accept it as fate and take the Chiefs’ side here.
Regardless of GTA’s actual release date, there’s one thing we know for sure: Kelce and his friends will be playing.
Cooter’s Bet: Chiefs SB
🏆 Chiefs SB Before Aaron Rodgers’ Retirement ?
As far as offseason drama goes, it’s been relatively quiet on the Aaron Rodgers front in 2024 (*feverishly knocking on wood*).
We’ve seen no mention of darkness retreats. We’ve heard nothing about Rodgers taking on a hosting role for Jeopardy. Wait, sorry – let me phrase that in the form of a question: “Which NFL QB was not recently rumored to host Jeopardy?”
Like I said… it’s been crickets…
But despite the exciting passes we’ve seen from Rodgers as we wait for the NFL season to kick off, we can’t ignore his age and recurring thoughts of retirement. While it may not be here yet, the time is coming.
Will Rodgers put in his two weeks before the Chiefs’ next ring ceremony? What comes first?
Cooter’s Bet: Chiefs SB
🏆 Chiefs SB Before a Kyle Pitts ‘Breakout’ ?
Hey, remember in 2021 when Kyle Pitts was the rookie to watch? And remember in 2022 when he was a bonafide second year breakout candidate? Oh! And remember how 2023 was going to be his year, because how could Pitts be held back from his destiny for a third year in a row?
Yeah… About that:
- 2021: 68 recs, 1,026 yds, 1 TD (TE7)
- 2022: 28 recs, 356 yds, 2 TD (TE33)
- 2023: 53 recs, 667 yds, 3 TD (TE14)
But THIS YEAR actually could be different.
Pitts has Kirk Cousins(?) and Michael Penix Jr. throwing the ball. And most importantly, Arthur Smith is out of the picture.
This… could be the year.
Can Kyle Pitts secure a Top 5 finish at the position in 2024? He almost did it his rookie season, even with the lonely, singular TD. With a new HC and QB, his outlook is at least better than your average Magic 8 Ball answer: Ask Again Later.
So, you know what? F*ck it. I’m in.
Cooter’s Bet: Kyle Pitts
🏆 Chiefs SB Before Reputation (Taylor’s Version) ?
Similar to Kyle Pitts’ yearly breakout promises, swifties have held on to false hopes for the announcement of Reputation (Taylor’s Version). Time and time again, clowning gets the best of both fandoms.
But eventually, it has to happen. I’m sure of it.
So now it’s time to set another imaginary deadline:
- Do you think Taylor Swift announces her Reputation re-record before February 2025?
- Do you think the Chiefs miss out on the Super Bowl this season?
If you answered “Yes” to either of those questions, you’re betting on Rep TV.
So, what’ll it be? Are you ready for it?
Cooter’s Bet: Rep TV
🏆 Chiefs SB Before New Heights ft. Taylor Swift ?
While we have seen Taylor Swift attending NFL games, concerts, and dinners with Travis, there’s still one area we’ve yet to see her dabble in.
Travis and Jason Kelce have soared to… yea, you guessed it… New Heights — in their brotherly podcast that covers football, amongst other things. (Watch Mama Kelce talk about having to put a leash on Travis as a kid.)
While the Kelce brothers don’t need guests to keep the show entertaining, they have asked family and friends to join the podcast in the past. So it would seem like only a matter of time before Taylor Swift breaks the internet and sits down for an episode.
The question then, is what comes first: Chiefs SB or TS pod appearance?
Cooter’s Bet: New Heights feature
2024 Predictions
Not everything has to be about the Big Game. Here are a few more predictions for 2024 relative to Travis and Co.
👀 Taylor Swift Game Day Attendances
- 2023 stats: 13 NFL games
- 2024 projections: 13 NFL games
Look, just trust the f*cking numbers on this one.
Travis Kelce attended 13 shows of the Eras Tour and Taylor Swift attended 13 NFL games last season (aww).
I don’t care that Taylor still has shows left in her second leg of her US tour to perform. And I don’t need to see the NFL schedule to calculate the odds of her attending which game in which city.
This doesn’t have to be hard. If you know… you know.
Cooter’s Bet: 13 games
👀 Is That Andy Reid??
Travis Kelce isn’t married… to any particular hair style.
We’ve seen him grow everythingggg out and shave everythingggg off. But in July of 2024, Travis showed Andy Reid a thing or two when he debuted his fresh new mustache.
Will it last? Eh, he’s not one to stick with any style for too long.
Cooter’s bet: Stache is gone by Week 3
