On Tuesday morning, news broke that Davante Adams was to be traded to the Jets.

While we are awaiting the official completion of the transaction, let's dive into everything we know so far and the fantasy football fallout from the trade.

Davante Adams Traded To The New York Jets

Per Adam Schefter, the framework of the trade revolves around Adams in exchange for a conditional third-round pick, detailed below:

Most notably, this trade reunites the future Hall of Fame wideout with Future Hall of Fame QB, Aaron Rodgers, in the Big Apple.

As of 11:00 am EST on 10/15, we are still awaiting official completion of the trade. That said, we will continue to provide updates as the trade becomes official. Be sure to check back for more.

Fantasy Football Fallout From The Davante Adams Trade

The New York Jets welcome a new WR1 to their WR room and also putting Adams in a position where, for arguably the first time in his career, he has an ascending elite WR1 competing with him for looks in Garrett Wilson.

So, how will this affect his fantasy football outlook moving forward?

Per Matthew Freedman:

"With Adams going to the Jets, at least now he will return to action and get some fantasy points for his investors (assuming he doesn't actually have a real hamstring injury)---and playing with QB Aaron Rodgers (whom Adams has great chemistry with) is theoretically better than trying to catch passes from the duo of Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew.

But with the Raiders, at least Adams was the clear No. 1 pass catcher.

With the Jets, Adams will now need to compete with WRs Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard--and as unbelievable as this sounds there's no guarantee that the Jets offense will be significantly better with Adams or than the Raiders offense was with him.

In total, Adams might see fewer targets with the Jets than Raiders ... and the theoretically enhanced quality of his new opportunities might not be sufficient to outweigh what he loses in volume. If I adjust my expectations down for Adams, it won't be by much--but I'm definitely not adjusting my expectations upward.

Aside from Adams, the winners and losers in this transaction are apparent. Rodgers is a big winner. And everyone else in the offense is a loser."

In terms of fantasy outlook for the other pieces affected by this trade, Dwain McFarland broke it down:
