With the 90th NFL Draft set for April 24 in Green Bay, the 2025 fantasy football season is closing in, and I’m dropping my initial Half-PPR fantasy football rankings to get you locked in early. Does your league have a different scoring format? Fantasy Life’s League Sync has you covered!
This offseason, 13 teams welcomed new head coaches or offensive coordinators—Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, New England, New Orleans, New York Jets, Philadelphia, Seattle, and Tampa Bay—shaking up schemes and player outlooks.
Here are notes on my top-ranked QBs, RBs, WRs, and TEs—built from 2024 performances, offseason transactions, and key facts heading into next season.
QB1 Rankings For 2025
QB1: Josh Allen
MVP Allen finished QB2 in 2024 with 385.0 FP, trailing only Lamar Jackson with 531 rushing yards and 40 total TDs (28 passing, 12 rushing) over 17 games. His dual-threat edge could keep him elite in 2025 with his proven rushing and passing prowess, especially if the team can get him another WR.
QB2: Lamar Jackson
Jackson led QBs as QB1 in 2024 with 434.4 FP, piling up 915 rushing yards and 41 passing TDs over 17 games. His run-pass balance could keep him atop fantasy in 2025 as Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews grow with him.
QB3: Jayden Daniels
Daniels burst to QB5 in 2024 with 364.8 FP as a rookie, was second among QBs with 891 rushing yards and 25 passing TDs over 17 games. Kliff Kingsbury passed on New Orleans’ HC vacancy to remain the Commanders OC under HC Dan Quinn. Daniels could rise further in 2025 if Kingsbury refines the pass game alongside his elite legs.
QB4: Jalen Hurts
Hurts hit QB5 in 2024 with 320.1 FP, racking up 630 rushing yards and 14 “tush push” TDs with 2,903 passing yards over 15 games. New OC Kevin Patullo replaces Kellen Moore. Hurts could thrive in 2025 if Patullo balances his rushing with sharper passing to A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
QB5: Joe Burrow
Burrow surged to QB4 in 2024 with 381.8 FP, throwing a league-high 43 TDs and 4,918 yards over 17 games. With Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins newly extended, he could stay elite in 2025 if those targets keep defenses split.
QB6: Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes dropped to QB9 in 2024 with 293.5 FP, managing 3,928 passing yards, 26 passing TDs, and 2 rushing TDs over 17 games. The team re-signed Hollywood Brown, and Xavier Worthy’s legal dispute has been trending in the zero-games-missed direction. They could get Rashee Rice back from injury to start the season. Mahomes could rebound in 2025 if Worthy’s speed complements Rice and Brown effectively.
QB7: Baker Mayfield
Mayfield soared to a tie for QB3 in 2024 with 381.8 FP, throwing 41 TDs and 4,500 yards with 3 rushing TDs over 17 games. New OC John Grizzard replaced Liam Coen (now Jags HC) after last season. Mayfield could remain a top QB in 2025 if Grizzard maximizes his aggression with Evans and Godwin.
QB8: Bo Nix
Nix ended 2024 as QB7 with 328.7 FP as a rookie, averaging 19.4 fantasy points per game (FPPG) with 29 passing TDs and 4 rushing TDs over 17 games. He could rise in 2025 if the Broncos add a WR1 to boost his dual-threat growth. The Evan Engram signing helps.
QB9: Jared Goff
Goff landed at QB6 in 2024 with 336.0 FP, throwing 37 TDs and 4,629 yards over 17 games with Amon-Ra St. Brown leading targets. Ben Johnson left as OC (now Bears HC) and was replaced by John Morton. Goff could stay solid in 2025 if Morton maintains Detroit’s balanced attack with St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs.
QB10: Brock Purdy
Purdy finished QB14 in 2024 with 278.9 FP, posting 20 TDs and 3,864 passing yards over 15 games in a run-first system. He could grow in 2025 if the 49ers tilt toward passing with George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk.
QB11: Drake Maye
Maye ended QB23 in 2024 with 187.1 FP, throwing 15 TDs and 2,276 passing yards over 13 games with shaky weapons. New HC Mike Vrabel and OC Josh McDaniels replaced Jerod Mayo and Alex Van Pelt. Maye could break out in 2025 if Vrabel and McDaniels add a WR1 to harness his arm.
QB12: Kyler Murray
Murray settled at QB11 in 2024 with 308.2 FP, totaling 3,851 passing yards, 21 passing TDs, and 5 rushing TDs over 17 games with Marvin Harrison finishing as the WR29. He could reclaim his spark in 2025 if the Cardinals add weapons beyond Harrison and Trey McBride.
0.5-PPR Running Back Rankings for 2025
RB1: Saquon Barkley
Barkley ruled as RB1 in 2024 with 338.8 FP, piling up 2,005 rushing yards and 13 TDs over 17 games. New OC Kevin Patullo replaces Kellen Moore (now Saints HC). Barkley could stay atop RBs in 2025 if Patullo leans into his three-down role with Hurts’ play-action opening lanes.
RB2: Jahmyr Gibbs
Gibbs hit RB2 in 2024 with 336.9 FP, scoring 20 total TDs (16 rushing, 4 receiving) and 1,412 rushing yards over 17 games. Gibbs could shine in 2025 if Morton keeps the run game central despite David Montgomery’s presence with Goff’s support.
RB3: Bijan Robinson
Robinson finished RB4 in 2024 with 311.2 FP, averaging 20.1 FPPG with 1,456 rushing yards and 14 TDs over 17 games. Kirk Cousins emerged as a trade candidate, and with Michael Penix expected as the starting quarterback, Robinson could remain elite in 2025 if Penix’s passing opens lanes.
RB4: Derrick Henry
Henry powered to RB3 in 2024 with 326.9 FP, rushing for 1,921 yards and 16 TDs with 5.9 YPC over 17 games. He could remain dominant in 2025 if Jackson’s dual-threat nature keeps defenses honest.
RB5: Bucky Irving
Irving rose to RB14 in 2024 with 220.9 FP, averaging 13.0 FPPG with 1,122 rushing yards and 8 TDs at 5.4 YPC over 17 games. Irving could rise in 2025 if Grizzard prioritizes his efficiency over Rachaad White with Mayfield’s play-action boosting opportunities.
RB6: De’Von Achane
Achane reached RB6 in 2024 with 260.9 FP, averaging 6.0 YPC for 907 rushing yards and 6 TDs with Tua Tagovailoa’s support over 17 games. With Raheem Mostert moving to the Raiders, Achane could climb in 2025 with a bigger role if Tua keeps Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle stretching defenses.
RB7: Jonathan Taylor
Taylor finished RB9 in 2024 with 235.7 FP, averaging 16.8 FPPG with 1,431 rushing yards and 11 TDs over 14 games. The Colts’ QB situation remains unsettled with Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones vying to start. Taylor could rise in 2025 if the more-mobile Richardson draws defensive focus to enhance his rushing opportunities.
RB8: Ashton Jeanty
Jeanty enters with 2,601 rushing yards and 29 TDs from Boise State in 2024 and his dominance is well-noted. His landing spot remains unknown until the draft, with coaching fit critical. Jeanty could lead rookie RBs in 2025 if he joins a run-heavy team leveraging a strong line and play-action QB.
RB9: Josh Jacobs
Jacobs hit RB6 in 2024 with 275.1 FP, averaging 16.2 FPPG with 1,329 rushing yards and 15 TDs over 17 games with the Packers. He could stay strong in 2025 if Jordan Love's passing keeps lanes open.
RB10: Kyren Williams
Williams landed at RB7 in 2024 with 25.1 FP, posting 1,299 rushing yards and 14 TDs with a 87% snap share over 16 games. Cooper Kupp moved to Seattle and Davante Adams joined the Rams. Williams could hold firm in 2025 if Matthew Stafford’s passing stretches defenses with Nacua and Adams.
RB11: Christian McCaffrey
McCaffrey fell to RB70 in 2024 with 40.3 FP, limited to 202 rushing yards and 0 TDs over 4 games due to injury. He could rebound in 2025 if healthy, leveraging Shanahan’s playcalling.
RB12: James Cook
Cook hit RB8 in 2024 with 250.7 FP, totaling 1,009 rushing yards and 16 TDs with 32 catches over 17 games alongside Allen. He could continue to thrive in 2025 if Allen’s presence continues boosting his dual-threat role.
Wide Receiver Half-PPR Rankings For 2025
WR1: Ja’Marr Chase
Chase topped WRs as WR1 in 2024 with 339.5 FP, hitting 127 catches, 1,708 yards, and 17 TDs with Burrow’s precision over 17 games. He could stay elite in 2025 if Burrow keeps targeting him anywhere near the 175 times last season.
WR2: Justin Jefferson
Jefferson hit WR3 in 2024 with 266.0 FP, averaging 103 catches for 1,533 yards and 10 TDs over 17 games playing with a resurgent Sam Darnold. He could reclaim top status in 2025 if J.J. McCarthy can quickly grow into his franchise QB role and sharpen his already-sharp passing skills.
WR3: CeeDee Lamb
Lamb reached WR2 in 2024 with 2612.9 FP, posting 101 catches, 1,194 yards, and 6 TDs with Dak Prescott playing in just eight games. New HC Brian Schottenheimer replaces Mike McCarthy, also serving as playcaller. Lamb could thrive in 2025 if Schottenheimer boosts Prescott’s deep game, and their silence in free agency leaves him with little competition for targets.
WR4: Amon-Ra St. Brown
St. Brown landed at WR3 in 2024 with 258.7.2 FP, securing 115 catches, 1,263 yards, and 12 TDs as Goff’s top target over 17 games. St. Brown could stay key in 2025 if Morton adapts the system to keep him central.
WR5: Puka Nacua
Nacua finished WR27 in 2024 with 167.1 FP, totaling 79 catches and 990 yards with 3 TDs over 13 games despite injuries. With Kupp out and Adams in, Nacua could shine in 2025 if Stafford can effectively lean on Adams to further open the passing game.
WR6: Brian Thomas
Thomas hit WR12 in 2024 with 240.5 FP, totaling 87 catches and 1,282 yards with 16 TDs at 14.7 yards per reception (YPR) even with Trevor Lawrence playing just 10 games. New HC Liam Coen and OC Grant Udinski replace Doug Pederson. Thomas could rise in 2025 if Coen’s pass-first style boosts Lawrence’s output.
WR7: Nico Collins
Collins ended WR22 in 2024 with 176.6 FP, totaling 68 catches and 1,006 yards with 7 TDs over 12 games. New OC Nick Caley replaced Bobby Slowik after last season. Collins could climb in 2025 if Caley’s system elevates C.J. Stroud’s targets to him.
WR8: Malik Nabers
Nabers dazzled as WR7 in 2024 with 219.1 FP, racking up 109 catches, 1,204 yards, and 7 TDs over 15 games despite poor QB play. He could soar in 2025 with a QB upgrade under HC Brian Daboll.
WR9: A.J. Brown
Brown finished WR17 in 2024 with 183.4 FP, hitting 67 catches, 1,079 yards, and 7 TDs over 13 games. Brown could dominate in 2025 if Patullo sharpens Hurts’ passing to him.
WR10: Jaxon Smith-Njigba
Smith-Njigba reached WR9 in 2024 with 203.0 FP, totaling 100 catches and 1,130 yards with 6 TDs over 17 games with Geno Smith. New OC Klint Kubiak replaced Ryan Grubb and Smith moved to the Raiders, with Sam Darnold now in as QB. JSN could still thrive in 2025 if Kubiak’s system clicks with Darnold’s passing and Cooper Kupp’s presence.
WR11: Ladd McConkey
McConkey hit WR29 in 2024 with 199.9 FP, totaling 82 catches and 1,149 yards with 7 TDs as a rookie with Justin Herbert over 17 games. He could rise in 2025 if Herbert leans on him more.
WR12: Tee Higgins
Higgins landed at WR16 in 2024 with 185.6 FP, totaling 73 catches and 911 yards with 10 TDs as Chase’s complement while thriving as a big-play threat in Cincinnati’s explosive passing attack over 12 games. His reliable hands and deep-threat ability shone despite Chase drawing top coverage, cementing his role as a key piece in Burrow’s arsenal. Higgins could shine in 2025 if Burrow continues to exploit his chemistry with him, especially with defenses stretched thin by Chase.
Half-PPR TE Fantasy Rankings For 2025
TE1: Brock Bowers
Bowers dominated as TE1 in 2024 with 206.7 FP, racking up 112 catches and 1,194 yards with 2 TDs as a rookie, showcasing his rare blend of size, speed, and route-running savvy in a breakout campaign over 17 games. New HC Pete Carroll and OC Chip Kelly replaced Antonio Pierce and Luke Getsy, with Mostert and Smith joining from Miami and Seattle to reshape the offense. Bowers could remain a top-tier TE in 2025 if Carroll and Kelly unlock his full potential with Smith’s veteran passing and Mostert’s complementary run game stretching defenses.
TE2: Trey McBride
McBride hit TE3 in 2024 with 188.3 FP, posting 111 catches and 1,146 yards with 5 TDs over 17 games. He could rise in 2025 if Murray boosts his red-zone role.
TE3: George Kittle
Kittle reached TE2 in 2024 with 188.3 FP, averaging 10.1 FPPG with 78 catches and 1,106 yards with 8 TDs over 15 games. He could grow in 2025 if Purdy leans on him more following Deebo Samuel’s departure.
TE4: Sam LaPorta
LaPorta landed at TE7 in 2024 with 144.6 FP, totaling 60 catches and 726 yards with 7 TDs over 17 games as targets dipped. LaPorta could rebound in 2025 if Morton re-emphasizes the TE role.
TE5: Mark Andrews
Andrews hit TE5 in 2024 with 161.3 FP, scoring 11 TDs on 55 catches for 673 yards over 17 games despite fewer targets. He could stay key in 2025 if Jackson refocuses on him.
TE6: Travis Kelce
Kelce finished TE6 in 2024 with 146.9 FP, totaling 97 catches and 823 yards with 3 TDs over 16 games with Mahomes. He could hold firm in 2025 if Worthy opens the field.
TE7: T.J. Hockenson
Hockenson fell to TE33 in 2024 with 66.0 FP, limited to 41 catches and 455 yards over 7 games due to injury. He could rise in 2025 if McCarthy targets him post-recovery.
TE8: Jonnu Smith
Smith reached TE7 in 2024 with 178.3 FP, totaling 88 catches and 884 yards with 8 TDs over 17 games with a late surge. He could stay strong in 2025 if Tagovailoa keeps him key.
TE9: David Njoku
Njoku finished TE4 in 2024 with 116.5 FP, averaging 10.6 FPPG with 64 catches and 505 yards with 5 TDs over 15 games. New OC Tommy Rees replaced Ken Dorsey. Njoku could thrive in 2025 if Rees boosts the pass game with a new QB.
TE10: Tucker Kraft
Kraft hit TE9 in 2024 with 138.3 FP, totaling 50 catches and 707 yards with 7 TDs over 17 games. He could rise in 2025 if Love leans on him more.
TE11: Dalton Kincaid
Kincaid reached TE29 in 2024 with 78.8 FP, totaling 44 catches for 448 yards with 2 TDs over 13 games with Allen. He could grow in 2025 if Allen targets him more.
TE12: Dallas Goedert
Goedert finished TE27 in 2024 with 82.6 FP, totaling 42 catches and 496 yards with 2 TDs over 10 games despite crowded targets. Goedert could climb in 2025 if Patullo boosts his role with Hurts.
Ultimately, these rankings cut to the chase while spotlighting coaching impacts. Dual-threat QBs like Allen and Daniels dominate, workhorse RBs like Barkley and Robinson carry early value, WRs like Chase and Jefferson anchor your pass game, and TEs like Bowers and McBride offer rare upside.
Draft with this blueprint while targeting players tied to fantasy-friendly systems, and you’re on track to your next fantasy championship!
