In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by BetMGM:
There are still 36 days until the NFL Draft, which means we have plenty of time to argue about some truly dumb stuff.
The latest debate to catch my attention was whether Tet McMillan—one of the top WR prospects in this NFL Draft—is fast enough to be a great player at the next level.
McMillan, who chose not to run at the NFL Scouting Combine, ran at his Pro Day earlier this week.
Of course with Pro Days, there is no “official” time. Reporters like Jordan Schultz (4.48), Dane Brugler (4.55), and Albert Breer (4.57) all reported a variety of different times from team sources who hand-timed his sprint.
As an aside, I love that we are inching closer and closer to the technological singularity, and yet we still allow a couple of handfuls of old men with stopwatches to elbow each other for the best perch around a track to hand time a 40-yard dash of a 21-year old kid.
What a truly insane time to be alive.
Anyways, it doesn’t matter. Tet is a really good prospect and a rare archetype as a tall, big-bodied WR with elite college production.
Daniel Jeremiah shared that Mike Evans was the last WR to run a 4.5+ and get selected in the Top 15 of the NFL Draft, but that’s only because Drake London—a popular comp for Tet who also went Top 15—didn’t run at either the combine or his USC Pro Day.
As long as Tet is drafted in the Top 15 (hell, even the Top 20), there’s really no reason to be worried.
Don’t let the pre-draft doldrums result in overthinking a terrific player. Tet is going to ball out this year—and if he doesn’t, it won’t be because of his speed.

Positional Rankings For 2025
Rankings week continues at Fantasy Life, with the local wet blanket (his words at some point I think, not ours) Matthew Freedman here to inject some realism into all of our hopium-filled veins.
Sure, he loves to bet the under and, as Pete mentioned yesterday, tends to be on one pole or the other when ranking, never the centrist.
So, who is Freedman higher on than consensus for 2025?
- 👀 Drake Maye: QB_
- 📈 James Cook: RB11
- 👀 Jameson Williams: WR_
- 📈 Travis Kelce: TE10
See all of his favorite players in his early 2025 positional rankings here. 👇
COULD JAMESON WILLIAMS BE A LEAGUE WINNER?

Another Great Buckeye WR On The Way?
Garrett Wilson, Terry McLaurin, Chris Olave, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Marvin Harrison Jr.
What do they all have in common? Not only are they heralded fantasy football assets, but they all hail from the campus of THE Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
Is Emeka Egbuka the next fantasy-friendly wideout to emerge from Ohio State? If he's going to live up to his player comp, the answer is as clear as day. 👀⬇️
