In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by Paramount+:

As we get ready for the Week 10 main slate, one of the best offenses in football is getting stronger while one of the worst teams is somehow getting worse.

It’s another chaotic morning on the injury front.

Here’s everything you need to know before setting your lineup …

CMC is back. The last time CMC was expected to play football was Week 1 MNF. Of course, he was a surprise late scratch and we haven’t seen him since. It’s reasonable to be skeptical about him returning to a full role, but he’s impossible to sit in managed leagues. He’s our consensus RB11 and I love the idea of playing him in DFS.

The Saints are decimated. On the flip side, New Orleans is in shambles. In addition to playing their first game under the Rizzler, they will be without Chris Olavewho might miss the rest of the season. Their WR room today is headlined by Mason Tipton, Marquez Valdes-Scantling (yes, he’s on the Saints now), and Jermaine Jackson. Safe to say, feel free to start Taysom Hill today (he’s our TE10).

Quick hitters. Drake London and Deebo Samuel are playing today … It sounds like Dak might be done for the year (& now the Cowboys are threatening us with Trey Lance) … The Jags WRs are good to go, bud bad news on Trevor Lawrence Tank Dell is expected to play tonight, but Nico Collins is a GTD (make sure you have a backup plan) … Tyreek Hill is also a GTD for MNF. Ugh … We will have to wait another week to see Jonathan Brooks (knee; sigh).

Read on for an offense to load up on today in DFS …

Quentin Johnston - Fantasy Life

11/10 Stat of the Day: An Emerging WR in LA

  • by Matt LaMarca

Stat: Quentin Johnston is still available in 60% of Yahoo leagues and 56.3% of ESPN leagues

Johnston was the No. 1 target using this week’s waiver wire tool. He’s consistently been the Chargers’ No. 2 option in the passing game, racking up a 19% target share and 30% air yards share in his six contests. He’s already had two weeks where he’s finished as a top-10 WR in PPR scoring, and he’s coming off the first 100-yard game of his career last week.

The Chargers’ offense has also become a bit more pass-friendly in recent weeks. They started the year as one of the most run-heavy offenses in football, posting a -5% dropback over expectation (DBOE) through their first four games. Since then, they’ve been at +3%, and Justin Herbert has averaged 286.6 passing yards per game.

With their offense trending in a more favorable direction, Johnston deserves to be rostered in all but the shallowest of leagues. He still profiles as a “boom-or-bust” type of option, but the booms could be a bit more frequent moving forward.
