Jared Goff and Mike Evans Have Something In Common
In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by Bud Light:
Question, question! I’ve got a question!
You know how Mike Evans outperforms his WR peers, yet his ADP never seems to adequately reflect that production?
Well … that’s not my question.
This is: Is Jared Goff the Mike Evans of QBs?
Overlook Jared Goff No More
No. I know that Jared Goff isn't going to engage in any slap battles with Marshon Lattimore anytime soon. But I do think he is receiving Mike Evans levels of fantasy football disrespect.
You see, Goff essentially went undrafted in your fantasy leagues in 2021 and 2022. And despite the fact that he’s continually outperformed his QB peers since then, his ADP hasn’t reflected it.
2024 Goff
- 4,629 yards (2nd)
- 37 TDs (4th)
- PPG (8th)
And yet … Goff's 2024 ADP: QB15
2023 Goff
- 4,575 yards (2nd)
- 30 TDs (4th)
- PPG (7th)
And yet … Goff's 2023 ADP: QB17
2022 Goff
- 4,438 yards (6th)
- 29TDs (T-5th)
- PPG (10th)
And yet … Goff's 2022 ADP: QB27
With a supporting cast of Amon-Ra St.Brown, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta, it's hard to imagine this level of production slowing down anytime soon. Not to mention the intense level of GRIT that comes with a HC like Dan Daddy Campbell.
Sure, Goff doesn't have the same rushing upside as guys like Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, or Jalen Hurts. But I'm not asking you to view him as a Top-3 guy. I'm just asking that we put some respect on his name!
So, if you're wanting to wait on QB in your drafts this year—overlooked QBs seem to be a theme this weekend—you could do much worse than Goff as the 11th QB off the board (currently going in the middle of the 8th round in Underdog drafts).
And before you ask: No, the Lions' change at OC doesn't scare me.

Hidden Dynasty Gems: The Rise Of J.J. McCarthy
I had to double-check the author when I saw this one …
Find out why Thor Matthew Freedman is targeting J.J. McCarthy and Ricky Pearsall in dynasty in 2025. FYI, it’s not all about the players that make them so intriguing going into the 2025 season.
With some dynasty downside sprinkled:
- RB Breece Hall
- WR Rashee Rice

Thor’s EDGE Rankings
Much like your neighbor's lawn, there are NFL teams that could benefit from a good edge this month.
Thankfully, Thor Nystrom is breaking down the position for us.
…
16. Elijah Roberts
While these three are on the “edges,” there are some intriguing prospects in between who could be chasing down quarterbacks in the fall. BTW, keep an eye on Shemar Stewart going high in the draft.
