In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by FantasyLife+:

Our long wait is finally over.

The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off tonight.

No more rumors, no more sources, no more guessing.

Tonight, we find out where the top 32 players in the draft will be playing this year.

Here’s what I’ll be looking for tonight as a fantasy bro who is prone to skimming past non-skill position players in mock drafts (sorry, Thor and Freedman) …

The Biggest Round 1 Question Marks

⬆️ Does a team make a move for Ashton Jeanty? The range for Jeanty feels pretty defined. The first four picks of the draft are solidified without him, and he’s not sliding past the Bears at 10. Still, there is so much that could happen between picks 5-9. Would the Jags actually pull the trigger? Could a team trade up to No. 8 or No. 9 to secure him? As one of only a handful of blue-chip prospects in this draft, almost any team could justify the selection.

🤠 Do the Cowboys really prefer Matthew Golden? I like Golden fine, but I think it would be a massive mistake for any WR-needy team to take him over Tet McMillan, who is a much stronger prospect with less downside risk. Even if the Cowboys do Cowboys things and select Golden at No. 12, I can’t see Tet slipping much further. I love how Thor handled this in his recent mock.

🎶 How does this game of QB musical chairs play out after 1.01? There are four teams in desperate need of a QB (Browns, Giants, Saints, and Steelers) and a couple more who would be justified in selecting one (Colts, Seahawks). And yet, it seems like none of these teams want to actually spend their first pick on Shedeur Sanders, Jaxson Dart, or Jalen Milroe. That means we could see a flurry of trade-ups by those teams into the latter parts of Round 1 to secure their signal-caller of the future. It’s going to be wild.

🙏 Pray for the TEs. Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland are first-round locks, but their outlook for fantasy feels extremely polarizing. The Jets and Colts would be less than ideal situations for our purposes, while the Bears, Chargers, or Rams would be extremely fun. Hold your breath for these …

🤫 Who sneaks into the first round? The only other fantasy-relevant player who is a lock for Round 1 is Omarion Hampton. My dream, however, is that both Emeka Egbuka and TreyVeyon Henderson sneak in as well. I think the Texans (WR) and Commanders (RB) could both make those dreams a reality.

Tonight’s Most Polarizing Players

Let the chaos ensue.

Tonight is going to be a whirlwind, so let’s level set on how we can best prepare you to sift through the chaos.

For starters, Freedman updated his Top-100 Big Board. He has some similarities and some glaring differences to the Thor 500, highlighting players that they’re either in lock-step on, or miles apart on. Focusing on this group can help us narrow down the must-follow prospects for the draft.

  • 🤝 Travis Hunter (WR/CB) (No. 1 overall)
  • 🤝 Abdul Carter (EDGE) (2)
  • 🤝 Ashton Jeanty (RB) (3)

Both Thor and Freedman are in lock step … so far.

So, what players seem to be the most polarizing?

Shedeur Sanders (QB)

Matthew Golden (WR)

TreVeyon Henderson (RB)

These three players, in particular, will have a significant impact on the fantasy football landscape. Plus, internal company murmurs are hinting at a bet between our two draftniks over who’ll be more accurate … something about Freedman wearing a J.J. McCarthy jersey for a week straight … who knows?

The Biggest Questions Surrounding The Biggest Prospects

One cool stat to answer the biggest questions about 28 of the NFL Draft's top prospects—is that something you might be interested in?

If so, you’ve come to the right place.

  • Just how bad was the offensive environment for Shedeur Sanders?
  • Does Cam Ward take too many chances under pressure?
  • How does Omarion Hampton’s collegiate production stack up against the greats?
  • Just how special is Jalen Milroe’s rushing ability?
  • For the draft tonight, are you team drums or flats?

You’ve got questions, Ian Hartitz has answers. Well, not the last question, but you catch our drift (editor’s note: the answer is flats, always).
