In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by New Era:

There’s a verb called “Chargering.”

It might not be in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, but anyone who follows football knows exactly what it means.

Last night seemed like we were headed for another bungled game to add to the franchise’s lowlight canon.

Los Angeles was up 27-6 early in the third quarter, only to let Cincy score 21 unanswered points.

But then the tides shifted …

Evan McPherson missed two FGs that would have given the Bengals the lead in the 4th quarter.

And then this happened with 0:18 seconds left. What a play from J.K. Dobbins.

Not only did we get the rare, thrilling primetime game, but we got some massive fantasy performances in the process.

Joe Burrow (29.04), Tee Higgins (25.3), Ja’Marr Chase (23), Dobbins (18.4), Will Dissly (16), and Ladd McConkey (15.3) all helped fantasy managers in need of points after the Main Slate.

Speaking of which, read on for a full recap of yesterday’s action, including the massive days from the Lions and Taysom Hill

Week 11 Fantasy Football Takeaways

by Pete Overzet

It's time for Pete's Pick 6—a weekly recap column where I round up all of the best fantasy action from Sunday's games and spotlight the biggest winners and losers.

☠️ The Lions are a merciless death star

In previous editions of this column, I've tilted how the Chiefs had been racking up wins without many fantasy points to show for it.

The Detroit Lions—who are also 9-1—absolutely don't have that same problem. In fact, they don't just beat their opponents. They embarrass them.

On Sunday, they showed no mercy on their way to annihilating the Jags 52 to 6 at Ford Field and single-handedly packing Doug Pederson's bags for him.

And best of all, it resulted in a buffet's worth of fantasy points for our teams:

Outside of one TD to Brock Wright (who was subbing in for the injured Sam LaPorta), all of the other TDs funneled through the guys we care about around these parts.

After an extremely rough outing on primetime last week, Goff was dialed in. He is now the first player in NFL history with 2 games of 400+ passing yards, 4+ passing TDs, and a perfect passer rating.

The Lions get another dome game next week in Indy. Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.

🪕 Taysom Hill, fantasy folk hero

Hill is probably the most polarizing player in fantasy football. He's been known to vulture TDs from your favorite players. He'll burn you when you finally start him or go nuclear when you bench him. Depending on what site you play, he may be listed as a TE, or as a QB, or as an RB, or as a WR …

He's truly an enigma … but yesterday he was a one-man wrecking ball vs. the Browns:

  • 3 TDs
  • 138 rushing yards
  • 50 receiving yards
  • 18 passing yards
  • 42 kick return yards

That blitzkrieg of production resulted in an absurd 38.52 fantasy points, a new NFL record, and some high praise from Jameis Winston.

You may be tempted to start him next week, but I'm warning you to not do that. That would be putting money in a slot machine that just paid out. That's a no-no.
