Peter Overzet is here with his Week 11 fantasy football takeaways:

It's time for Pete's Pick 6—a weekly recap column where I round up all of the best fantasy action from Sunday's games and spotlight the biggest winners and losers.

Let's dig in …

The Lions are a merciless Death Star

In previous editions of this column, I've tilted how the Chiefs had been racking up wins without many fantasy points to show for it.

The Detroit Lions—who are also 9-1—absolutely don't have that same problem. In fact, they don't just beat their opponents. They embarrass them.

On Sunday, they showed no mercy on their way to annihilating the Jags 52 to 6 at Ford Field and single-handedly packing Doug Pederson's bags for him.

And best of all, it resulted in a buffet's worth of fantasy points for our teams:

Outside of one TD to Brock Wright (who was subbing in for the injured Sam LaPorta), all of the other TDs funneled through the guys we care about around these parts.

After an extremely rough outing on primetime last week, Goff was dialed in. He is now the first player in NFL history with 2 games of 400+ passing yards, 4+ passing TDs, and a perfect passer rating.

The Lions get another dome game next week in Indy. Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.

Taysom Hill, fantasy folk hero

Hill is probably the most polarizing player in fantasy football. He's been known to vulture TDs from your favorite players. He'll burn you when you finally start him or go nuclear when you bench him. Depending on what site you play, he may be listed as a TE, or as a QB, or as an RB, or as a WR …

He's truly an enigma … but yesterday, he was a one-man wrecking ball vs. the Browns:

  • 3 TDs
  • 138 rushing yards
  • 50 receiving yards
  • 18 passing yards
  • 42 kick return yards

That blitzkrieg of production resulted in an absurd 38.52 fantasy points, a new NFL record, and some high praise from Jameis Winston.

You may be tempted to start him next week, but I'm warning you to not do that. That would be putting money in a slot machine that just paid out. That's a no-no.

A new Rookie Of The Year contender emerges

Most people laughed when the Broncos selected Bo Nix with the 12th overall pick. The draftniks had him with a Round 2 grade. He was clearly the worst of five QBs selected in the first round.

That's all looking pretty silly right now.

After slicing up the Falcons Swiss-cheese defense for 300+ passing yards and 4 TDs yesterday, he now leads all rookie QBs in TDs with 18 and is the only one of the bunch to have multiple wins over .500 teams.

Pat Surtain might be a little out over his skis when he calls him an MVP candidate, but it's undeniable how well he's playing. It's pretty wild that they are a blocked FG away from being 7-4 and now firmly in the Wild Card mix.

On the LG Show last week, our producer Ed floated a topic on who we'd prefer to have on our roster for the rest of the season, Jayden Daniels or Nix. I laughed it off at the time, but he might be onto something …

The Chiefs finally lose

Well, well, well. Kansas City's deal with the Devil finally expired. The Chiefs suffered their first loss since December 2023 at the hands of the Buffalo Bills yesterday (31-20).

It was quite the role reversal for how these heavyweight tilts normally go. On Sunday, it was the Bills who drained the clock with two methodical drives that resulted in TDs.

The final TD was quintessential Josh Allen—a lumbering, 26-yard romp that apparently should only happen once out of every one hundred tries.

Along with Allen's 23.9 fantasy points, James Cook (2 rushing TDs) turned in a solid fantasy day.

Fear not, though. It's very unlikely that this will be the last meeting between these two squads. Just ask Patrick Mahomes.

A surprise WR1 in San Francisco

One of the most insane fantasy stories of the year is the fourth-year breakout by a 27-year-old currently taking place in San Fran.

These kinds of mid-career breakouts are almost unheard of (Davante Adams is the last example I can think of), but that's exactly what is happening with Jauan Jennings right now.

Most of us wrote off his 41-point outburst in Week 3 as a fluke, but he's now strung together back-to-back games with 11 targets where he's operated as the engine of the passing game.

At one point, he literally carried the team on his back. He's now averaging more fantasy points per route run than friggin' Justin Jefferson.

If you've been slow to update your priors on Jennings (like me), it's time to do a quick 180 and enjoy the ride … Jennings is a league winner.

ARich returns; the Jets are dust

There was basically no way the Colts didn't come out of yesterday's game without looking like idiots.

If Anthony Richardson flopped, then they'd look stupid for going back to him after the initial benching.

If he smashed, then they'd look stupid for ever benching him in the first place.

Well, Richardson looked pretty damn good yesterday in the Colts:

It was also refreshing to see Josh Downs (5-84-1) weather the QB transition.

As for the Jets, it's so unbelievably Joever. At this point, I think there's a better chance Aaron Rodgers is in a Cabinet position than on the field for Week 17.
