Pete’s Bold Prediction For The Super Bowl

If there’s one word that continues to pop up when we discuss this Chiefs team it’s inevitable.

Whether that is defined by Patrick Mahomes’ greatness or the calls seemingly always going their way, the Chiefs make everything feel pre-determined (not saying “scripted” there was intentional).

But what if I told you a similar sentiment lingered before Super Bowl LIV in 2021?

Mahomes was coming off a year where he won his first Super Bowl (and Super Bowl MVP). The Chiefs went 14-2 in the regular season, finishing with the best record in the NFL and the No. 1 seed throughout the playoffs.

They beat the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game and then entered the Super Bowl as 3-point favorites vs. the Bucs. The Chiefs would roll again …

This sound familiar?

You probably recall what happened next. The Chiefs were overwhelmed by a superior Bucs defensive line and Tom Brady carved them up. The Bucs cruised to a 31-9 victory.

I assume you pick up what I’m laying down.

Not only will the Chiefs lose tonight to the Eagles, but they will lose in stunning fashion.

The Eagles are the better team. They have a better running game, a better defense, and more explosive playmakers.

Patrick Mahomes is infallible until he isn’t.

The Chiefs are unbeatable until they aren’t.

Everything is inevitable … until it isn’t.
