Cartis Parks presents the Guilloteenie rankings for the NFL Playoffs for Fantasy Football.

With six teams eliminated from the playoffs and two more about to join the fray, the rest-of-season rankings for the playoff Guilloteenie rankings might not look like what you’d expect. Here are some less-touted players who might be better bets than classic studs and provide the players he prefers going forward.

With the NFL down to its elite eight, that means Guilloteenie leagues are down to their final four. With only eight roster spots (1 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 2 FLEX, 1 TE) and ZERO bench spots, that means only 32 NFL players will be rostered per league. Depending on how you did in Week 1, you might have already blown most of your free agent budget to rebuild your team, or if you drafted for longevity, you might be able to coast this week if not many of your players were eliminated.

Last week was more about survival since the Chiefs and Lions hadn’t joined the party yet. Now that the Super Bowl favorites are getting in on the action, it’s time to construct your roster with eyes on the end game. These rankings do not represent who’s the better player. In a standard league, or even a regular-season Guillotine LeagueTM, I would definitely want a Kyren Williams over an Isiah Pacheco or a Terry McLaurin over an Xavier Worthy, but with the player pool shrinking by half from here on out, longevity (being on a team that will make it deeper in the playoffs) can give an edge to a normally lesser player.

Quarterback

Since there will always be more eligible quarterbacks available than the maximum allowed on surviving rosters, the quarterback rankings will be more traditional; only four quarterbacks will be rostered this week. Don’t overthink this. No matter what, two of the top four quarterbacks will be eliminated this week, if you are unlucky enough to be on the wrong side, a likely pivot to Jared Goff or Patrick Mahomes at that point, isn’t as big of a drop off as you think.

  1. Lamar Jackson
  2. Josh Allen
  3. Jalen Hurts
  4. Jayden Daniels
  5. Jared Goff
  6. Patrick Mahomes
  7. Matthew Stafford
  8. C.J. Stroud

Running Back

I want at least two games here, so runners on heavy underdogs (Texans, Commanders, Rams) will be knocked down a tick. There could technically be 16 running backs rostered this week, but with only eight teams playing, the group gets pretty thin after eight. If one of the lower guys got you through last week, keep them on your team, but I would hesitate spending money at this point on Williams, Mixon or Ekeler, the latter I would favor over Robinson this week.

  1. Jahmyr Gibbs
  2. Saquon Barkley
  3. Derrick Henry
  4. Isiah Pacheco
  5. David Montgomery
  6. James Cook
  7. Kyren Williams
  8. Joe Mixon
  9. Austin Ekeler
  10. Kareem Hunt
  11. Brian Robinson Jr.
  12. Justice Hill

Wide Receiver

The wide receiver room has thinned out thanks to early departures from Justin JeffersonJordan AddisonLadd McConkeyCourtland SuttonMike EvansGeorge Pickens, in addition to the injury to Zay Flowers and disappearing act from Cooper Kupp. Similar to running back, if you can’t get at least two of the top eight running backs, you’re looking at at least three receivers from this list (or doubling up on tight end if you can snag Travis Kelce and Sam LaPorta). Again, longevity is key, so Terry McLaurinNico Collins, and Puka Nacua will get knocked for likely being one and done.

  1. Amon-Ra St. Brown
  2. A.J. Brown
  3. Xavier Worthy
  4. Nico Collins
  5. Puka Nacua
  6. Jameson Williams
  7. Khalil Shakir
  8. Terry McLaurin
  9. DeVonta Smith
  10. DeAndre Hopkins
  11. Rashod Bateman
  12. Hollywood Brown
  13. Cooper Kupp
  14. Dyami Brown
  15. Amari Cooper
  16. Olamide Zaccheaus

Tight End

Travis Kelce and Sam LaPorta, who both finished the season strong after midseason lulls, are the two most valuable tight ends left in this format. If you can snag both early, there’s a strong possibility you would own both Super Bowl tight ends, leaving your opponent relying on backups.

  1. Travis Kelce
  2. Sam LaPorta
  3. Mark Andrews
  4. Dallas Goedert
  5. Zach Ertz
  6. Dalton Kincaid

Superflex

Finally, here are the rest-of-season rankings regardless of position (only top 32 ranked).

  1. Jahmyr Gibbs
  2. Amon-Ra St. Brown
  3. Travis Kelce
  4. Derrick Henry
  5. Saquon Barkley
  6. Xavier Worthy
  7. A.J. Brown
  8. Isiah Pacheco
  9. David Montgomery
  10. Nico Collins
  11. James Cook
  12. Puka Nacua
  13. Jameson Williams
  14. Khalil Shakir
  15. Kyren Williams
  16. Joe Mixon
  17. Terry McLaurin
  18. Mark Andrews
  19. DeVonta Smith
  20. DeAndre Hopkins
  21. Rashod Bateman
  22. Austin Ekeler
  23. Hollywood Brown
  24. Kareem Hunt
  25. Cooper Kupp
  26. Dallas Goedert
  27. Brian Robinson Jr.
  28. Dyami Brown
  29. Lamar Jackson
  30. Josh Allen
  31. Jalen Hurts
  32. Jayden Daniels

At least a quarter of these players will be gone next week. As always, the name of the game is survival, but if you can start accruing players closer to the top of this list, you’ll be in good shape.
