If it werenāt for them, Iād be forced to lead todayās newsletter with Travis Kelce/Taylor Swift Page 6 fodder (donāt worry, Iāll capitulate in a few paragraphs and cover it in the Weekly Wrap-Up).
They played the Denver Broncos, who are reportedly a real NFL franchise, but youād never know it by the box score. The Dolphins ran laps around a hapless defense as if they were the Harlem Globetrotters playing the Washington Generals.
You know things are bad when the artist formerly known as Robby Anderson (who changed his name to Robbie Anderson, and then later to Chosen Anderson, and now goes by the name Robbie Chosen), who also happens to be on his third team in less than a year, scores a TD on your swinging fence of a defense.
But letās set aside body-bagging the Denver Broncos for one second to appreciate what an earth-scorching fantasy performance we witnessed yesterday, headlined by the backfield:
They wonāt come close to replicating this performance again (they only get to play the Broncos once, after all), but this team will continue to churn out fantasy gold for as long as Tua is healthy.
Fins up.

One of the criticisms of Walker heading into the season was that he was a āboom/bustā runner. Hereās the thingā¦we like āboomsā in fantasy, which is exactly what Walker provided in Week 3 vs. Carolina.
Walker tallied 18-97-2 on the ground and 3-59 through the air while collecting a pair of broken ankles as a souvenir.
Zach Charbonnetisnāt going anywhere, but Walker is too talented to keep off the field for more than the occasional breather.
The current TE1 on the week isnāt Travis Kelce (7-69-1), but the Lionās Sam LaPorta, who went 8-84-1 on an impressive 11 targets. There arenāt many TEs in the league who can get this wide-open deep down the field.
This start puts him in uncharted territory for rookie TEs:
Look, Iām sure thereās some damning evidence of me calling Thielen ādustyā or āwashedā or āa prime candidate for the senior citizenās discount at the Sizzlerā somewhere on the internet, but the joke is clearly on me:
I truly donāt know if he can keep this upāLarry Fitzgerald had a string of fast starts that fizzled out in the final seasons of his storied careerābut for now, letās tip our cap to the man who isnāt waiting until November 5th to turn back the clock.
Deshaun Watson was serviceable (289 yards and 2 TDs), but Amari Cooper kept Week 3ās āfountain of youthā theme going with a 7-116-1 line that could have been even bigger.
š Tank Dell joins the Puka conversation
The NFL is so good at humbling everyone. First-round WRs like Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Quentin Johnston, and Jordan Addison are off to slow starts while Puka Nacua, and now Tank Dell, are setting the league on fire:
We're humans who play fantasy football, which means we are prone to overreact. Today, Kendall overreacts to two teams headed in opposite directionsā¦
Week 3 in the NFL is the time when trends start to become reality. Ian Hartitz wrote an incredible article on it, and letās just say we learned a lot on Sunday.
First, this Packers team just does not quit ā Jordan Love led the Packers to a huge comeback win after trailing 17-0 at halftime and got his first win at Lambeau Field.
The New England Patriots outlasted the New York Jets and Bill Belichick and Co. now have 15 straight wins over the Jets, tying the longest current winning streak against one team.
Thereās one team that showed they are one of the best in the NFL right now and another that should be making fantasy managers a bit worried. Letās get into itā¦
š¬ Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill are the best duo in the NFL (on the best team)
LET TUA TAGOVAILOA COOK! Damn, he did just that on Sunday. No, 70 was not the temperature in Miami today, itās how many points the Dolphins hung on the Broncos. Tagovailoa finished the day 23/26 with 309 yards, four touchdowns and a passer rating of 155.8! Holy crap.
Tyreek Hill was flying (somewhat) solo with Jaylen Waddle ruled out with a concussion before the game started. He finished the day with 9 receptions, 157 yards and one touchdown.
Letās be clear here: this is the best duo in the NFL right now.
The connection looked too easy from the very beginning of this game. Entering Week 3, Hill had 59.50 fantasy points on the year with Tagovailoa at 39.40. This duo only got stronger, too.
This was also the most points scored in Miami Dolphins history. I hope you didnāt have any of these players on your benchā¦ Raheem Mostert and DeāVon Achane had four touchdowns apiece and even backup quarterback Mike White wanted to get in on the action.
This is arguably the best team in the NFL right now. Definitely the most explosive. They are the only undefeated team in the AFC and have a big test coming in Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills. Letās see Tagovailoa and Co. add an exclamation mark to this hot start and go 4-0ā¦
š¤¢ The Jaguars areā¦ bad?
Remember when this was supposed to be a get-right game for the Jacksonville Jaguars? Well, the Houston Texans walked away winners and left Jaguars fans, fantasy managers and everyone in between with even more questions and worries.
The Texans had eight starters out with injury, but the Jaguars looked flat on offense from the beginning. Trevor Lawrence threw for 279 yards and connected on a touchdown to Christian Kirk while Travis Etienne totaled 138 yards, but it wasnāt enough.
Honestly, shoutout to rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, though. He had 280 passing yards with two touchdowns and a 118.8 passer rating. There is still enough time to say things can turn around, but the Jaguars need to fix things quickly.
