Only the Super Bowl remains in the 2024-25 NFL season, and we just had the Senior Bowl this past weekend, so now is a good time to update my 2025 NFL mock draft.

Over the past six years (since I started submitting mocks in competitions), I’m the No. 2 mocker for accuracy, and I'm a lifetime 484-424 (+102.6 units) betting on the draft.

Post-Senior Bowl 2025 NFL Mock Draft Update

The 2025 NFL draft order is set for all but the last two picks, which I'm projecting here based on consensus odds to win the Super Bowl and my own personal team prognostications.

Sure-Fire Round 1 2025 NFL Mock Draft Picks

Entering this mock, there were 31 guys I felt I "must" include. I'm not saying that they're Round 1 locks, but (right now) these are the prospects I feel most confident projecting for Day 1.

  • OT: Will Campbell (LSU), Kelvin Banks (Texas), Josh Simmons (Ohio State), Josh Conerly (Oregon), OT Armand Membou (Missouri)

The one remaining player I opted to include is LB Jihaad Campbell (Alabama). If an offball middle-of-the-field defender is to be drafted in Round 1—and I think that's about a 50/50 proposition—then Campbell will likely be the guy.

His age (21 later in February), recruitment pedigree (five stars), and college production (117 combined tackles as a junior) make him a potential difference-maker.

Borderline Round 1 NFL Mock Draft Prospects

These are the guys I didn't include in my mock but whom I currently view as residing on the borderline of Rounds 1-2.

The Perfect 2025 NFL Mock Draft

Here's what I like specifically about this mock.

  • QB Jalen Milroe: In the most recent "Thor Thursday" edition of the Fantasy Life Show, Thor analyzed Milroe's performance at the Senior Bowl and gave him an F. Previously, both Thor and I were high on Milroe and thought he had a realistic chance to go in the top 10 because of his dual-threat skill set and the number of NFL teams that need to upgrade the position. Now, however, it's reasonable to doubt whether he will even go in Round 1 … and most mocks I've surveyed recently indeed now have him outside the top 32. So in this iteration, I'm knocking Milroe way down the board and (finally) doing a mock with just two QBs in Round 1.
     
  • WR Tetairoa McMillan: In my previous mock, I had McMillan going to the Panthers at No. 8—and I definitely think that they could use a pass catcher—but I'm happy to get McMillan back up to the Raiders at No. 6, where I think he makes more sense given that he (and not WR/CB Travis Hunter) might actually be the true No. 1 WR in the class.

This being my first go at a version with just two QBs, I like it. I think it's a good starting point.

And yet …

Still Not the Perfect Mock Draft

No mock is perfect. Here are ideas I have for future versions.

  • EDGE Abdul Carter: He's now No. 2 in odds to go No. 1 overall (+200, FanDuel), behind only QB Cameron Ward. Between the Titans and Browns, I now think Carter has a good chance to go in the top two. I'm not yet ready to put him above WR/CB Travis Hunter … but I'm at least now considering the idea. With Hunter, there are the positional concerns. What position will he play in the NFL? With Carter, there are no such concerns: Line him up on the edge, and let him go.
     
  • Panthers at No. 8: With QB Jalen Milroe no longer in the mock, I needed to bump WR Tetairoa McMillan up to the Raiders at No. 6, and I like that move … but that means he can't go to the Panthers, who need a WR … and this spot is just too early for WR Luther Burden. So I've given the Panthers an EDGE, which I think is an acceptable position … but I prefer WR.
     
  • 49ers at No. 11: In previous versions, I had the 49ers going EDGE, but now that Milroe is out of the mock, an extra EDGE got bumped into the top 10, which means that the 49ers became a tough team to fit. Maybe they still go EDGE. I can also see OT. In this version, I gave them DT … but this is a spot I want to think about more.
     
  • Four CBs: With LB Jihaad Campbell now in the mock, it's even harder to find uncontested landing spots for four corners in the top 32. I still think CBs Will Johnson, Benjamin Morrison, Shavon Revel, and Jahdae Barron all belong in Round 1, but it will be an experimental journey to get to their destinations.
     
  • S Nick Emmanwori: I'm still yet to do a mock with two safeties. One of these days, I might. If Emmanwori gets more draft hype over the next month, I will.

Eventually, we'll find the perfect mock.
