Thor Nystrom is live at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. What follows are highlights from interviews at Day 2 of the Combine.

The 2025 NFL Scouting Combine is in full swing, with defensive linemen and linebackers testing on the first day, followed by defensive backs and tight ends on Day 2. The marquee day will be March 1, when quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs will take center stage and for some players, it could really boost their draft stock.

Thor Nystrom has been covering the event from Indianapolis, and he attended a series of group interviews with skill players the day prior to the showcase event. Here are some of the highlights from Thor’s interviews, starting with Kaleb Johnson, whose draft profile recently dropped on fantasylife.com. The questions presented are from both Thor and other media members during Day 2 at the Combine.

Kaleb Johnson | RB | Iowa

What are some of your most underrated traits?

I feel like my catching ability, and my ability to get in the open field and make a move, stuff like that.

Are people sleeping on your speed?

Yes, but I’m going to showcase it tomorrow.

You’re going to run tomorrow?
Yes, sir.

Prediction?

Just fast, that’s my prediction.

What are the keys to running in the zone running system? You were so good at it last year.

Mainly just aiming outside, looking at the guard and reading the flow of your linemen. Really just hitting it hard.

On his exceptional vision on the field.

Just being patient and being able to predict it before it happens. Always just giving it 100%.

On Sam LaPorta as a teammate.

Sam LaPorta, He took me under his wing. He showed me the ways, even when I was a little bit stressed on the field or I was having a hard time, he would tell me it was going to be OK, to keep moving on. Stuff like that.

Quinshon Judkins | RB | Ohio State

You have such good burst, but there are questions about your long speed. Is that something where tomorrow you’re going to make a point?

Most definitely.

Any predictions?

You’ll see.

Matthew Golden | WR | Texas

What’s your best trait in your game as a wide receiver?

My route running and the catch point for me. Being able to attack the ball wherever the ball is. Being able to play outside and inside.

Jaylin Noel | WR | Iowa State

What is the most important thing to you about route running? The mechanics of it, winning separation.

The biggest thing when trying to get separation is just accelerating out of the brakes. If you can accelerate out of those brakes it's very tough for defenders to stay with you and really just get them to flip their hips and really take advantage of edges to make them feel uncomfortable at the top of the route.

On who he patterns his game after and NFL player comps.

I wouldn't necessarily say pattern, but there's a few guys that I take small things from like Jaylen Waddle. I think he's very athletic and quick at the line. He's got great burst, obviously great speed.

Jordan Addison, very fluid in his routes, very smooth at the top of the route. Great hands.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, a compact receiver, can do great things in the slot. Very intelligent in the game.

Jacolby George | WR Miami

How do you see your game?

I’m a good yards-after-the-catch guy. I create separation. I use my speed to scramble and be able to make plays and get in that end zone. I really compare myself to Calvin Ridley.

On having so many mouths to feed in the Miami offense.
We all knew that we were going to have to share the ball. We all wanted to win, so it was like, we know there was only one ball and a lot of guys. We just did whatever it takes to win.

Jimmy Horn | WR | Colorado

You’re known for your speed. Are you going to run tomorrow?

I’m for sure running tomorrow.

What do you expect to run?

Y’all going to see.

Who can create the most separation between Travis HunterLaJohntay Wester, and him?

All of us create separation?

But who’s the best?

Me. I’m going to say me, for sure.

Jack Bech | WR | TCU

On what he’s looking forward to most about being at the Combine.

I think just having all the best receivers here. I just can’t wait to get out on that field tomorrow to show my short burst. My side to side. I can’t wait to go run routes, run the gauntlet drill to show off my hands. That I’m super confident in all my routes. I can’t wait to get out there and separate myself as much as possible.

Ricky White | WR | UNLV

You’re a special teams demon. Where does that come from?
It’s just really a want to. It’s a mindset and a mentality for me. I went to my special teams coordinator James Shibest and I demanded that I wanted to be on special teams. I was on punt return and kick return. It was a mindset for me. Go out there and showcase my talent. Any time I’m on the field I feel like I give my team an advantage to win.

Chimere Dike | WR | Florida

Has the NFL talked to you about the role you’ll play in the NFL?

The cool thing for me is throughout college I played every position throughout the receiver room. It’s just the versatility I provide. I haven’t necessarily dove deep into what role that would look like. Obviously I’ll learn more as the process wears on. I think the good thing about me is that I can play a lot of different roles. I can kind of fit into different puzzle pieces.

Who do you pattern your game after?

I pattern my game after guys, but I won’t compare my game. Some of the guys I watch, Davante (Adams), Amon-Ra St. Brown. Guys like that.

Kyle Monangai | RB | Rutgers

After seeing so many stacked boxes at Rutgers, could that lessen in the NFL?

Whatever box I get I’ll be able to excel in. Light box, heavy box, I’ve ran through all of them. Whatever’s in front of me I want to run through it.

On the importance of pass protection for a running back.

Pass pro’s a mindset. As a running back you’ve got to be able to protect the quarterback. A lot of coaches throughout my career have told me that pass protection is the main thing, and then you get your carries based on your reward for how well you protect the quarterback. That’s something I’ve carried throughout my career, and I’ve studied film on blitzes and things like that. Then when it comes to picking up blitzes it’s a mentality. Go meet that guy first and make sure he’s going backwards. Meet him at the line of scrimmage. That type of thing.

On any athletic profile questions.
I didn’t know there were questions about my athletic profile. It’s news to me. If there were, they’ll be answered tomorrow.
