Below is my final NFL mock draft of the 2025 draft process, with explanations for the picks below the table.

This spring has been eerily quiet on the trade front for picks—I believe that changes on Thursday night, when I’m anticipating we get fireworks. I project six Round 1 trades in the mock below.

2025 NFL Mock Draft

My pick-by-pick mock draft table is below. As noted above, trade explanations are in the right-hand column.

Included on top of the traditional team/name/school columns are my individual rank of the player among all prospects in the class, as well as their positional rank in my rankings.

For my top 500 (!!) prospects, ranked, check out the Thor 500.

Pick-by-Pick Analysis of My Final NFL Mock Draft

1. Tennessee: QB Cam Ward

Watch out for either WR Emeka Egbuka or WR Luther Burden in the 2.35 slot if this scenario plays out.

2. Cleveland: WR/CB Travis Hunter

The draft gets really interesting for Cleveland after this no-brainer pick.

3. NY Giants: EDGE Abdul Carter

I do not buy that Cleveland is listening to offers for 1.02, but I do buy that the Giants would move out of 1.03 for the right price.

4. New England: EDGE/LB Jalon Walker

The Patriots would love a cornerstone LT, but this draft doesn’t have one of those … Walker has been flying up boards and would address two needs for the Patriots with one pick.

5. Chicago*: RB Ashton Jeanty

The Bears continue with their aggressive offseason ethos with a big swing up the board to add a generational running back.

6. Las Vegas: DT Mason Graham

Sniped on Jeanty, GM John Spytek, a graduate of Michigan, audibles to the disruptive Wolverines defensive tackle.

7. NY Jets: OL Will Campbell

The Jets need help at both RT and iOL—they bring in Campbell and give him a shot at the former first, with the latter a good fallback option.

8. Dallas*: WR Tetairoa McMillan

Dallas surrenders a R3 pick to guarantee the draft’s best pure receiver.

9. San Francisco*: TE Tyler Warren

The 49ers head into the draft with 11 picks and are going to be active—Warren provides nasty 12- and 13-personnel packages working alongside George Kittle in the short term.

10. Jacksonville*: CB Will Johnson

Jacksonville’s new administration wants to remake the roster – this trade gives Jacksonville five picks in the top-88, and six in the top-107.

11. New Orleans*: OT Armand Membou

With needs everywhere, I think New Orleans’ rebuild begins with infrastructure.

12. Carolina*: EDGE Mike Green

With Jalon Walker off the board, Carolina bails four slots for an extra R3 pick while still adding a quality EDGE prospect.

13. Miami: OT Kelvin Banks

The Dolphins eat their vegetables by bolstering the trenches, all the more important now that five-time Pro Bowl LT Terron Armstead has retired.

14. Indianapolis: TE Colston Loveland

I’ve made this pick in almost every mock draft all spring, and it makes too much sense to stop now.

15. NY Giants*: QB Shedeur Sanders

Coming out of this draft with a legitimate quarterback of the future is crucial for a Giants administration on the hottest of seats—it might just buy it another year.

16. Arizona: CB Jahdae Barron

Arizona could certainly target the trenches on either side, but Barron gives the organization a defensive tone-setter at another acute position of need.

17. Cincinnati: DT Walter Nolen

From a talent and need perspective, this one makes all the sense in the world.

18. Seattle: WR Matthew Golden

This one could come down to Golden against OL Grey Zabelthe tiebreaker could be that the OL class is deeper than the WR class.

19. Tampa Bay: LB/EDGE Jihaad Campbell

Campbell’s doctor recently wrote a letter to NFL teams stating that Campbell should be ready for training camp off a torn labrum—that development should lock him into Round 1.

20. Denver: RB Omarion Hampton

The Broncos’ dream scenario.

21. Pittsburgh: QB Jaxson Dart

Dart is a good fit for OC Arthur Smith’s play-action-heavy scheme.

22. LA Chargers: DT Kenneth Grant

The Chargers address their biggest need of DL by reuniting Grant with his college HC Jim Harbaugh; Harbaugh once called Grant “a gift from the football gods.”

23. Green Bay: EDGE Mykel Williams

Williams plays assignment football against the run and has dormant pass-rushing ability left to be untapped.

24. Buffalo*: DT Derrick Harmon

The Bills need help along the defensive front and get aggressive to move up and secure one of the draft’s most versatile and disruptive interior defensive linemen.

25. Houston: OG Grey Zabel

One of the NFL’s worst interior offensive lines gets a shot in the arm.

26. LA Rams: CB Maxwell Hairston

The Rams add speed to the cornerback room with the 2025 NFL Combine’s fastest player.

27. Baltimore: S Malaki Starks

Starks lining up next to Kyle Hamilton would feed generations.

28. Detroit: EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku

Ezeiruaku and Aidan Hutchinson would make for a fearsome long-term edge-rushing duo.

29. Washington: EDGE Shemar Stewart
The Commanders are committed to fixing their run defense—they need an immediate EDGE starter, and want one who excels against the run … that’s Stewart.

30. Cleveland*: QB Jalen Milroe

Who is the mystery team on Milroe? How about the team that employs Alabama’s 2023 offensive coordinator—the year Milroe looked like a future 1.01 pick—in the same post (Tommy Rees)?

31. Kansas City: OT Josh Simmons

Thanks to the signing of LT Jaylon Moore, the Chiefs can afford to be patient with Simmons, who is coming off a season-ending injury.

32. Philadelphia: S Nick Emmanwori

The trade of C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Texans arguably shot safety to the top of the Eagles’ need list.

Round 2

33. Minnesota*: OG Donovan Jackson

The Vikings enter the draft with only four picks, ranking No. 32 in draft equity—in exchange for moving down nine slots over two trades, the Vikings move up 35 spots on Day 2 (3.97 to 2.62) while adding four R6 picks … and they still get their Day 1 starter at LG.

34. Atlanta*: EDGE James Pearce

The Falcons head in with only five picks, two of them are in R7 … this trade gets them up to the standard seven while adding an extra Day 2 pick in 2026, while still yielding the perfect answer for Atlanta’s biggest need of juice off the EDGE.
