MATTHEW BERRY’S FANTASY LIFE ACQUIRES GUILLOTINE LEAGUES PLATFORM

NEW YORK - August 12, 2024 - Fantasy Life, the leading fantasy sports and sports betting media company founded by Matthew Berry, today announced the acquisition of Guillotine Leagues, the fast-growing fantasy gaming platform that offers a new take on fantasy football. The addition of Guillotine Leagues provides another top-tier fantasy offering to the sports community. The highly addictive game features weekly eliminations, star players on waivers, leagues starting every week throughout the season and unprecedented excitement to all fans.

As part of the acquisition, Paul Charchian, founder of Guillotine Leagues and Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association Hall-of-Famer, will join Fantasy Life as Director of Guillotine Leagues. Paul is the former president of the FSGA, having led the association from 2008-2019. He developed the platform in 2020 and has led the company through its historic growth.

Guillotine Leagues start with anywhere from four to 18 teams. Instead of head-to-head matchups, the lowest-scoring team in the league each week is eliminated. Forever. The last team standing at the end of the season is crowned the winner. Every week, teams compete to avoid elimination, creating a high-stakes environment where every point counts. When a team is eliminated, their entire roster becomes available to the rest of the league, allowing other members a chance to claim these players on the waiver wire. This means injuries can no longer destroy your season.
