Each week, Cooterdoodle will be breaking down all the pain and punishment that transpires in our very own BWW Punishment Eliminator League.

18 entered, but 17 will leave with their tails between their legs as they are forced to face a season-ending punishment.

BWW Punishment Eliminator League

We’re moving on to Week 13. While D.K. Metcalf may have exploded on Thursday Night Football in Week 13, we’re not quite ready to move on just yet. With the new week and fresh opportunities come the close of last week with repercussions and consequences.

The punishment gods have spoken once again! Today we’ll have a full recap of:

  • Unsung Heroes of Best Ball
  • Week 12 Results
  • Week 12’s Proof of Punishment (PP)
  • On to Week 13: Ho Ho Who Should I Start?

If you’re new here, be sure to read a full breakdown of our 18-team best ball elimination league and last week’s recap.

But the rules are fairly simple: SURVIVE or face the consequences (read: the Punishment Generator).

Unsung Heroes of Best Ball

Every week, the leaderboards are churning out new losers, new close calls, and new high-scorers. It’s the blessing and the curse that comes with best ball league settings.

But in an eliminator league where we've been booting people left and right, their teams linger. The fantasy manager may have been eliminated, but their teams are never fully wiped from existence. Take Week 12’s results for example:

Week 12 Report

The ghost of Team 12 remains along with the ache of “what could've been”. But there can be no name, no face, and no reward. Team 12’s time ended long ago. All we're left with now are the unsung accolades of the players who showed up just a little too late.

But that’s best ball, baby!

But that’s enough reflection and “what ifs”. Let’s get to the misery and dive into everything that happened in Week 12.

Week 12 Results

The results from Week 12 are in! Although many have been eliminated, some of the top dogs are still alive. We’ve seen a lot of these names at the top of the leaderboard before. Maybe best ball should be called "best the most ball" instead.

Here’s how the league did this week with some added context of risers and fallers:
Week 12 Results

We started with 18 teams and are now down to just six teams remaining!

And with only five more eliminations to go, it’s starting to feel real. One of these lucky few remaining teams will not only take the championship but also avoid the pain, ridicule, and embarrassment that comes with being eliminated.

So who will it be? Mr. Roto himself? Or one of the other wonderful members of our Fantasy Life team? Regardless of who you decide to root for from here on out, the generator cannot be escaped, and it’s anyone’s game at this point.

With six teams moving safely on to Week 13, we need to acknowledge the unlucky leaguemate who wasn’t so safe in Week 12. And it’s time for them to pay…

Proof of Punishment (PP)

It’s finally time for what you’ve all been waiting for. The big PP reveal.

The Punishment Generator results were rolled out prior to Week 12 and revealed that the loser would have to endure punishment by punishing their loved ones.

That’s right.

Having to vent about your fantasy league is a punishment in and of itself, but the loser had to make a family member sit through the whole breakdown of how and why they lost. Unlucky for both of them!

So without further adieu, here’s Pete’s Week 12 punishment!

We’re sorry to see Pete go, but the league marches on!

Nitty Gritty Breakdown:

  • Teams remaining: 6
  • Teams eliminated: Marcas, Freedman, Jonathan, Ian, Waz, Kendall, Chris, Jake, Cooter, Jordan, Sam, and Pete
  • Punishment on Deck: Ho Ho Who Should I Start?

With Pete's elimination, we’re on to a new beginning. And unfortunately, we're faced with another few days of sweating it out while we await the fresh agony of the upcoming Week 13 results.

On to Week 13

As for the survivors: another one down with five eliminations to go.

How punishments are decided:

  • Generate a random punishment with our Punishment Generator
  • Announce the punishment to the league prior to kickoff
  • Boot the loser from the league once the games have concluded
  • Collect Proof of Punishment (PP)
  • Expose everything on FantasyLife.com

We won’t know who has to pay the price until all the Week 13 games conclude on Monday night, but we leaguemates have come up with a special Holiday-themed punishment for the loser of this weekend.

Drumroll, please…

Discord

That's right, team with the lowest score from Week 13 will have to unlock their inner child as they ask Santa for some fantasy football advice. I can’t imagine that Mr. Claus will enjoy that, but maybe he’s in a North Pole fantasy league!

Stay tuned for an update next week after the losing team submits their Proof of Punishment (PP), and we kick them from the league.

If this sounds like a fun league format to you sickos, you don't have to feel left out. You can make your own punishment eliminator league!

Don't be shy, it's easy to create some fun (maybe not so fun for the loser) punishments. Whether it’s an end-of-season last-place punishment or a weekly side bet, we’ve got you covered. Just input your settings, generate, and let fate decide!
