Each week, Cooterdoodle will be breaking down all the pain and punishment that transpires in our very own BWW Punishment Eliminator League.

18 entered, but 17 will leave with their tails between their legs as they are forced to face a season-ending punishment.

BWW Punishment Eliminator League

It seems like just yesterday we were wrapping up our 18-team draft and everyone was sweating over our first eliminator punishment. Times were much simpler then. Hopes were high and the chat was super active as we all awaited our fate…

But now, we’ve dwindled to the final few and most of our conversations in the group chat revolve around “Phew” and “Glad it’s not me this week!” Because you can’t be punished if you’ve already been eliminated, right?

But even with the few remaining managers, and even though we’ve put 15 weeks behind us, we haven’t run out of punishments OR leaguemates…yet! Welcome back to the Fantasy Life BWW Punishment Eliminator League. It’s finally time for us to move on to Week 16 and find out who needs to pay the price.

That’s right, in the eliminator league, the punishment gods have spoken once again! Today we’ll have a full recap of:

  • What Did We Learn?
  • Week 15 Results
  • Week 15’s Proof of Punishment (PP)
  • On to Week 16: Happy Festivus!

If you’re new here, be sure to read a full breakdown of our 18-team best ball elimination league.

But the rules are fairly simple: SURVIVE or face the consequences (read: the Punishment Generator).

What Did We Learn?

Let’s take a peek back at the old draft board. Where did our remaining teams go right??

Keep in mind this was an 18-team draft and the board got very scary VERY quickly. But two things that immediately stand out are Sam & Dwain’s teams.

After an entire offseason where many fantasy managers were dodging RBs in the first 3-5 rounds, Sam Holt’s Christian McCaffrey Joe Mixon start ended up being an absolutely solid 1-2 punch. Who needs Zero RB when you’ve drafted the correct RBs, amirite?

And while Dwain has drafted the second QB off the board, which felt early at the time, His Josh Allen/Amon-Ra St. Brown start to his draft was anything but a bad decision.

Sam didn’t draft a WR until round 4. Dwain didn’t draft a RB until round 4. And given the amount of teams drafting, this was LATE. But based on these frequent top-scoring teams, it would seem that strategy wasn’t super important.

So the lesson? Well, in best ball, don’t panic if you haven’t addressed a position early on. Just fill in the gaps later as you go and make sure to draft elite talent on the front end. (Easy enough, right?)

Speaking of our top scorers, let’s get into the nitty gritty results of Week 15 and see who was eliminated this week. We’re here for the punishments, after all!

Week 15 Results

The results from Week 15 are in and while many have been eliminated, some of the top dogs are still alive.

It doesn’t matter if you were at the top of the rankings in Week 14. Week 15 is here, and now someone is gone.

Here’s how the Fantasy Life BWW Eliminator league looked this week, with some added context of risers and fallers:

Week 15 Results

We started with 18, but now we have been cut down to WAIT WHAT! THREE REMAIN?

With only two more eliminations to go, it’s crunch time. There’s no wiggle room for injuries, bad matchups, and duds. It’s anyone’s game!

And because it’s anyone’s league to win, it’s also anyone’s league to lose. Only one of the top five will be able to avoid the pain, ridicule and embarrassment that comes with each elimination.

And as you already know… the generator cannot be escaped.

With three fantasy managers moving safely into Week 16, it’s time for us to somberly turn our attention towards the unlucky leaguemate who didn’t make it out of Week 15. And it’s time they pay…

Proof of Punishment (PP)

It’s finally time for what you’ve all been waiting for. The big PP reveal.

The Punishment Generator results were rolled out before Week 15 and revealed that the loser would have to study up and do a little bit of educating.

That’s right… The loser has to not only try to understand Trigonometry, but teach it!

So without further adieu, here’s Geoff’s Week 15 punishment!

I’m sad to see him go, but the league marches on!

Nitty Gritty Breakdown:

  • Teams remaining: 3
  • Teams eliminated: Marcas, Freedman, Jonathan, Ian, Waz, Kendall, Chris, Jake, Cooter, Jordan, Sam, Peter, Matt, Eliot, & Geoff
  • Punishment on Deck: TBD

With Geoff’s elimination, we’re on to a new beginning. And we’re unfortunately faced with another few days of sweating it out while we await the results from a new week of agony.

On to Week 16

As for the survivors: One more down. Two eliminations to go.

How punishments are decided:

  • Generate a random punishment with our Punishment Generator
  • Announce the punishment to the league prior to kickoff
  • Boot the loser from the league once the games have concluded
  • Collect Proof of Punishment (PP)
  • Expose everything on FantasyLife.com

We won’t know who has to pay the price until the games conclude on Monday night.

But we do know that someone is going to have to change their online identity for a substantial amount of time, because the Punishment Generator has spoken. Drumroll, please…

[Week 16 Punishment coming soon…]

That’s right, the team with the lowest score from Week 16 will have to visit the draft and all the mistakes, bad luck, and poor choices that came along with it. It’s time to celebrate our first-ever Fantasy Life Festivus!

Stay tuned for an update next week after the loser submits their Proof of Punishment (PP), and we kick them from the league.
