Week 10 Fantasy Football Rankings And Tiers. Get-Right Spot For DK Metcalf.
It is time to make those tough lineup decisions for Week 10 of the fantasy football season.
Below, you’ll find positional rankings, player analysis, team totals and spreads for every game on the slate.
Notes:
- Players are now tiered across all positions (RB, WR and TE) to help with flex decisions in larger formats. Because of this, TEs might not have a player deserving of Tier 1 compared to RBs and WRs.
- Defensive yards and TDs allowed exclude overtime play.
- All references to defensive ranks are for this week (bye Week teams excluded).

Tier 1 – Josh Allen
Allen averages the most fantasy points per game (24.3) and has one of the best matchups on the slate against the Broncos. Denver allows the fourth-most passing yards (268.9) and the most TDs (2.0) per game.
Over the last three games, we have seen the emergence of a legit No. 2 option behind Stefon Diggs. Rookie TE Dalton Kincaid has averaged 7.7 receptions for 73.7 yards over the last three contests.
And maybe most importantly, since the loss of Damien Harris, we have witnessed the re-integration of Allen into the team’s designed run game. Over the last three contests, he has 15%, 14% and 27%.
Those designed rushing attempt data points are much more in line with Allen’s 17% average over the last four seasons. Allen averages 7.3 attempts for 34 yards and a TD on the ground since Week 7.
With the running game back in play, Allen is one of the few options with the upside to run for 50-plus yards and pass for 300-plus in any game.
Allen stands above his peers as my only QB in Tier 1 for Week 10.

Tier 1 – Alvin Kamara
Kamara registered his lowest fantasy output of the season with 11 points (RB19) in Week 9. Over the last two games, the Saints have lightened the veteran back’s rushing workload. Taysom Hill has bogarted 20 attempts in a two-game stretch, which has led to season-low 49% and 35% attempt shares for Kamara.
While this is a troubling trend, Kamara continues to see high-leverage opportunities. It seems like every time the Saints are inside the five-yard line, Hill is getting the ball. However, Kamara still sees half of those attempts despite Hill’s expanded role.
Kamara also kept his route participation at 50% or better for the fifth time out of six games and continues to demand targets at an elite level. His 34% TPRR (targets per route run) ranks No. 1 out of all backs with at least 100 routes in the NFL. He has dominated the two-minute offense since his return, which continued in Week 9 (100%).
When the Saints play zone-heavy pass coverage units, Kamara is at his best. His 40% TPRR is miles ahead of the next closest New Orleans pass-catcher — Chris Olave (26%). This weekend, that trend will be tested against the Vikings, who utilize zone coverage the seventh-most.
Look for the Saints to continue to use a rotation but for Kamara to still get his thanks as a player who plays often in high-value situations.
Kamara is my RB4 this weekend and is a top-10 player overall.
Tier 3 – Rhamondre Stevenson
After a rough start to the season, Stevenson has performed like a strong RB2, averaging 15.8 points over the last four contests — including a season-high 23 points in Week 9. Over that stretch, he has averaged 15 opportunities per game and bested Ezekiel Elliott in almost every utilization category.
Stevenson has pulled his season-long TPRR up to 19%, thanks to a 26% average over the last month. He was a 21% and 26% player over his first two seasons, and the Patriots have fewer options than ever in the passing game — so all signs point to this logical usage sticking.
The third-year back has also turned things around in the efficiency department, averaging 4.8 yards after contact and an 11% explosive rush rate (carries of 10-plus yards). His missed tackles forced per attempt have exploded to 25% during the stretch — also more in line with what we saw from him earlier in his career.

While Elliott will never completely go away, Stevenson now looks more like the back fantasy managers were drafting in the third and fourth rounds of drafts this summer. And we could see a big outing this weekend against a Colts defense that gives up 22.3 fantasy points per game to opposing rushers — the second-most.
Indianapolis deploys zone-based coverage concepts more than any other team in the NFL, and Stevenson’s target share climbs from 9% to 15% against zone in 2023. With the recent injuries to this receiving corps, Stevenson has double-digit target upside against the Colts.
Stevenson is a mid-range RB2 with RB1 upside and UPGRADES to top-25 overall status in Week 10.

Tier 1 – Amon-Ra St. Brown
St. Brown averages the sixth-most points per game (20.3) and is the lifeblood of the Lions' passing attack, averaging 10.6 targets (28%). The third-year WR has been amazingly consistent for fantasy managers, scoring at least 15 fantasy points every game this season.
While the consistency has been great, we only have two top-12 finishes and one blowup game, which came in Week 6 when St. Brown registered 30 points. However, this weekend the Sun God is in a great position to raid, pillage and plunder a weakly fortified Chargers secondary.
Los Angeles allows the most fantasy points per game to opposing pass catchers (37.4), surrendering 314 yards and 1.5 TDs. The Lions have the fourth-highest team total (25.75) in a contest with the slate's highest game total (48.5). I have concerns about the Chargers' ability to push this game as much as oddsmakers, as injuries at WR have mounted, and Quentin Johnston doesn’t appear ready for the NFL. Still, St. Brown is a good bet to turn this opportunity into a monster outing.
St. Brown is a SMASH play as my No. 4 overall flex option on the Week 10 slate.
Tier 1 – CeeDee Lamb
We will never know why it took the Cowboys five games to figure out that their best offensive weapon should be the centerpiece of their attack. But hey, at least Mike McCarthy eventually harkened back to the old adage of KISS — keep it simple, stupid — a lesson not every NFL head coach has learned.
Since the bye week, Lamb has target shares of 40% and 31% and is vibing with Dak Prescott. No other WR with a 10-plus yard aDOT with 50-plus targets has a higher catchable target rate than Lamb’s 83%. The man has 30 targets in the last two games and has been the fantasy WR1 in back-to-back weeks.
This weekend, the Cowboys are HEAVY favorites (-16.5) against the Giants. On one hand, they might not need much from Lamb if the contest gets out of hand. On the other hand, Dallas boasts the No. 1 team total on the slate (27.5).
The Giants' pass defense only allows 225 yards, which is a side effect of getting your doors blown off every week — Lamb could easily make up for yardage with TDs in this one. New York has the worst point differential in the NFL at -116, and the Cowboys are fourth-best at 72.
The Giants play more man coverage than any team in the NFL, and Lamb leads the Cowboys with a 31% TPRR against man. That is good news against a coverage unit that ranks in the bottom six per PFF with a grade of 57.5. Tyreek Hill, Deebo Samuel, Stefon Diggs and Garrett Wilson have all reached 100 yards against New York.
Lamb is my WR4 and is my No. 7 player out of all RB, WR and TE options this weekend.
Tier 3 – DK Metcalf
If something doesn’t change soon in Seattle, Metcalf is in danger of posting his worst fantasy season since his rookie campaign when he averaged 11.9 points. The fifth-year WR is barely above that mark at 12.2. He hasn’t delivered a top-12 performance yet — he has been north of 15 points only once in 2023.
While rookie addition Jaxon Smith-Njigba hasn’t blown up in his rookie campaign, his 19% target share has altered the number of looks for Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. In 2021 and 2022, Metcalf boasted target shares of 25% (7.3) and 24% (8.2), but he is down 21% (6.7).
The No. 3 target share on the team in 2021 and 2022 was 11% (Noah Fant) and 14% (Gerald Everett). The arrival of JSN has ever-so-slightly shifted the target share environment for the Seahawks, and the offense's inability to generate enough volume has amplified the problem — running the third-fewest plays per game (58.1) thanks to their league-worst 44% time of possession.
While many things haven’t gone right for Metcalf, he has continued a longstanding trend of morphing into an absolute ALPHA against man coverage. He leads the team with a 35% target share versus man — much better than his 15% against zone.
This weekend, he faces the third-most man-heavy coverage unit against Washington. The Commanders allow a juicy 34.9 points per contest to opposing pass catchers — the fourth-most on the slate. We have seen other top WRs go bonkers against this secondary.
- D.J. Moore: 230 yards, 3 TDs
- A.J. Brown: 175 yards, 2 TDs
- A.J. Brown (again, lmao): 130 yards, 2 TDs
- Drake London: 125 yards, 0 TDs
This is a get-right game for the Seahawks, and Vegas agrees. Seattle has the second-highest team total (25.75) as six-point favorites over Washington.
In an as-good-once-as-I-ever was game, look for the veteran WR to have his best performance of the season, eclipsing 100 yards and scoring a TD.
Metcalf is a SMASH play and is my WR9 in Week 10.
Tier 3 – DeAndre Hopkins
Since Will Levis took over as the starting QB for the Titans, Hopkins has delivered 35 (WR2) and 11 (WR22) fantasy outings. The 31-year-old WR ranks 12th in target share (28%), but earning fantasy points isn’t easy on a team that ranks fourth-worst in plays per game (58.4).
However, with Levis under center, the team ran 66 and 68 plays over the last two contests, and the passing attack has new life. Levis has an 8.3% big-time-throw rate over his first two starts, which is elite. That number is sure to regress, but when watching the rookie, he can make throws that many other arms can’t, and he is willing to force it to the my-ball-mentality veteran WR.
Where Hopkins depended on the right game script to turn his target share into big targets, now he has big plays as another out. Of course, when the plan comes entirely together, we now have the recipe for blowup outings, and we could have one of those in store this weekend.
Last weekend, the Texans torched the Buccaneers secondary for 470 yards and five TDs. Tampa Bay now ranks as the second-best matchup for pass catchers in fantasy land, allowing 36.3 points on 298 yards and 1.6 TDs per contest. With the Bucs also boasting one of the better run defenses in the league at 92.8 yards per game allowed, the matchup ingredients could be enough to push the Titans coaching staff toward a pass-friendly game plan.
Hopkins UPGRADES to low-end WR1 status on a slate with multiple high-end pass catchers on bye.

Reminder: I have leveled my tiers across RB, WR and TE to help with flex lineup decisions. So, getting to Tier 1 is really hard — often, Tier 2 is where you will find my highest-ranked TE.
Tier 3 – Taysom Hill
Hill has scored 22.5 and 20.6 fantasy points in the last two contests, and thanks to recent trends in utilization, he might not stop anytime soon. Despite the return of Jamaal Williams and Juwan Johnson, Hill has seen more opportunities than ever since Week 8.
- Rushing attempts: 9, 11
- Rushing attempts inside the five-yard line: 2, 1
- Routes: 12, 13
- Targets: 1, 5
- Pass attempts: 2, 1
If we add up pass attempts, rushing attempts and targets, Hill averages 14.5 opportunities per game — a number that is tough for any TE to compete with. The high-leverage nature of Hill’s opportunities inside the five makes him a weekly threat to punch in at least one score on the ground and the upside to score multiple times when he pops in one of the other facets of the game plan.
Unless we see the Saints pivot away from the recent utilization trends, the number of TEs you should start over him should be extremely short. Travis Kelce, T.J. Hockenson, Mark Andrews and Sam LaPorta are the only names that can consistently compete with his opportunity share.
Hill UPGRADES to mid-range TE1 status, and I am 20 spots ahead of consensus in my overall flex rankings as my No. 52 player.
