Week 14 Fantasy Football Rankings And Tiers. Zack Moss Set To Smash.
It is time to make those tough lineup decisions for Week 14 of the fantasy football season.
Below, you’ll find positional rankings, player analysis, team totals and spreads for every game on the slate.
Notes:
- Players are now tiered across all positions (RB, WR and TE) to help with flex decisions in larger formats. Because of this, TEs might not have a player deserving of Tier 1 compared to RBs and WRs.
- Defensive yards and TDs allowed exclude overtime play.
- All references to defensive ranks are for this week (bye Week teams excluded).

Tier 1 – Zack Moss
Moss only compiled 7.6 fantasy points in Week 13, but his underlying utilization numbers were elite. The veteran bogarted 91% of the team’s rushing attempts on his way to 20 totes and was on the field for 68% of the team’s passing plays.
Moss averages 24.2 opportunities and 18.3 fantasy points per contest when Jonathan Taylor hasn’t reached a 20% backfield. While getting high-end volume is enough to get excited about Moss, his efficiency has also been above expectations.
- Yards per attempt: 4.5 (11th out of 39 RBs with at least 100 carries)
- 10-plus yard attempts: 10.6% (12 of 39)
- Missed tackles forced per attempt: 19.9% (14 of 39)
In Week 14, he will have the backfield all to himself once again and gets a salacious matchup against a Bengals defense that allows the fifth-most rushing yards per game (134). Cincinnati gives up the fifth most fantasy points per contest on the ground at 19.4 points.
Moss is a SMASH play as a top-six overall option and my RB3 in Week 14.
Tier 2 – Austin Ekeler
Ekeler's fantasy production hit rock bottom last weekend with only 4.7 points in a brutal matchup against a Patriots defense, allowing the fewest yards per carry (3.2) in the NFL. He commanded 17 opportunities despite the let-down performance with 14 totes and three targets.
The 28-year-old back is struggling in the efficiency department with a career-low 3.5 yards per carry, but he has retained the lead role inside the five-yard line. Despite missing games he ranks third in the league with 14 carries from in close, accounting for 78% of the Chargers’ attempts.
While Ekeler might not be a top-three fantasy option, he is certainly better than his 8.4 point-per-game average over the last three games. Since 2012, backs with his profile averaged 14.9, close to his 15-point average in 2023. We don’t have to look too far back for a reminder of what Ekeler is capable of — he delivered RB5, RB4 and RB4 performances from Week 8 to Week 10. He is due for a bounce-back game.
If there was ever a weekend to give Ekeler a bump, thanks to the matchup, it is this one. The Chargers face a Broncos run unit allowing the most yards per game (145) on the ground — opposing rushers average a whopping 5.2 yards per carry. No other team allows more points to opposing RBs than Denver at 28.8 per contest.
Ekeler is a top-12 play overall and ranks as my RB5 – he meets all the SMASH-play criteria.
Tier 3 – Joe Mixon
After the loss of Joe Burrow, it was hard to imagine a scenario where the Bengals would retain any sort of high-scoring upside. However, that is precisely what happened on Monday Night Football against the Jaguars. Cincinnati tallied 34 points with Jake Browning at the helm.
While Browning came through with 354 yards passing, it was the Bengals' first negative DBOE game of the year (-4%). Mixon posted his second-largest opportunity total (26) of the season with 19 attempts and seven targets. The 27-year-old back punched in two rushing TDs, including one of his three attempts from inside the five-yard line.
Given the state of the Bengals' defense, it could be challenging for the team to build and hold leads, creating an obstacle for many more 19-rushing attempt games. But we could see more involvement from Mixon in the passing attack — he tallied his highest route participation (69%) and target share (19%) of the season. Browning has a 5.5 aDOT over his first 78 passing attempts of his career — Mixon could be the No. 2 or No. 3 option over the season's final stretch.

Expect the Bengals to lean on their run game and check the ball down plenty this weekend against the Colts. Indianapolis allows the sixth-most rushing yards per game (133) and plays the most zone coverage in the NFL.
Historically, teams spread the ball out more against zone coverage, with RBs and TEs seeing an increase in targets as WRs drift downward. Mixon has a 19% TPRR against zone coverage this year — 10 percentage points above his 9% mark against man.
Mixon is a mid-range RB2 this weekend and a top-40 overall flex option.

Tier 1 – CeeDee Lamb
Since the brutal beatdown by the 49ers in Week 5, the Cowboys have become a pass-heavy team with a plus-6% dropback rate over expectation (DBOE). The shift to more passing coincided with making Lamb the offense's centerpiece.
After notching a 22% target share over the first five games, the fourth-year WR has a jaw-dropping 33% in the last seven outings. Lamb has averaged 12 targets, 145 air yards and 27.9 fantasy points since Week 6.
The Eagles have struggled to stop opposing pass catchers, coughing up the second-most receiving yards per contest (278) and the most TDs (2.3). Philadelphia allows the most fantasy points to opposing WRs per game at 47.7.
The last time Lamb squared off against Philadelphia, he roasted them for 11 catches and 191 yards on 16 targets.
The Cowboys average the third-most passing yards per contest (279) and carry the second-highest team total (28.3). Lamb holds 100-yard and multi-TD upside in Week 14.
Lamb is a SMASH play, ranking as a top-three overall option and is my WR2.
Tier 2 – Stefon Diggs
Diggs has been in a mini-slump since Week 8 when Dawson Knox left the lineup. Dalton Kincaid — a stronger target earner than Knox — has played more snaps, and the team has used more 11 personnel, with Khalil Shakir seeing a considerable boost in snaps. It is hard to say how correlated these events are, but historically we have witnessed target shares diluted on teams using more three- and four-WR sets.
After averaging 10.9 targets per game and 22.7 fantasy points over the first seven games, the star WR dipped to 8.6 and 13.8 over the last five games.
While the Chiefs defense poses a stiff test — allowing the seventh-fewest passing yards per game (207) — several factors are working in Diggs’ favor this weekend.
- The Bills are coming off of a bye week and are in danger of missing the playoffs — they must feature their best player.
- Diggs dominates targets against man coverage with a team-high 30% target share, and the Chiefs run the sixth-most man looks.
- The last time Diggs faced the Chiefs he turned 13 targets into 10 catches for 148 yards and a TD.
- Knox practiced in full on Wednesday and could be ready to return.
The star WR hasn’t seen much of a price reduction on DraftKings at $8,800. However, not many people are likely to click on his name this weekend, and we know he could come through with a monster game if the Bills and Chiefs shootout.
I love rostering studs in contrarian spots and will have exposure to Josh Allen-Diggs skinny stacks. There is a chance both are sub-5% rostered, which is a life hack for DFS.
Diggs is my No. 9 player overall – three spots ahead of consensus – and is my WR6.
Tier 2 – Nico Collins
Collins is on an absolute tear this year, averaging the 11th-most fantasy points per game at the position (17.7). Since returning from a calf injury in Week 11, Collins has averaged 10.7 targets and 122 air yards per contest. Over that span, his average target share is 34%, with 23.7 fantasy points per game.
While keeping up that pace could be tricky, the small sample has some merit, considering Collins’ target share without Dell on the field this season is 31%. Of course, the Collins breakout isn’t coming out of nowhere; he made significant strides last season, upping his TPRR from 16 to 22%.
C.J. Stroud is on pace to pass for over 5,000 yards and shatter the rookie record of 4,374 yards held by Andrew Luck, and Collins looks like the clear-cut No. 1. Dalton Schultz, Noah Brown and Robert Woods will all pitch in, but none of them have flashed the elite target-earning ability Collins has demonstrated.
The Jets won’t be an easy matchup, allowing the second-fewest passing yards per game (192). However, quality offenses have blistered New York in recent weeks. The Bills dropped 32 points on them in Week 11, and Miami followed that up with 27 (excluding a pick-six that ran their final total to 34) in Week 12.
Don’t expect a 300-yard passing performance from the Texans, but they could push for 225 to 250 with Collins as the centerpiece. We saw both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle crest 100 receiving yards in Week 12. Collins has a shot to do the same and collect a score in Week 14.
Note: We must monitor the weather with potential rain and high winds in the forecast. If we have downpour conditions and sustained winds at 20-plus mph, Collins will drop to high-end WR3 territory.
Collins comes in 19 spots ahead of industry consensus as my No. 19 player overall and my WR10.
Tier 2 – DJ Moore
Since Justin Fields returned to the lineup, Moore has scored 22.6 and 22.4 fantasy points — putting him firmly back into the high-end WR2 conversation. Moore hogged 43% and 45% of the Bears’ targets in those two contests.
In seven games with Fields in 2023, Moore averages 105.9 receiving yards with a 32% target share — fueling 22.2 fantasy points per game.
The Bears face a Lions pass defense allowing the eighth-most passing yards per game (247), and Moore beat them for 96 yards and a TD on nine targets in Week 11. As long as we avoid 20-mile-per-hour sustained winds in Chicago this weekend, Moore’s projection won’t need to be adjusted, but he will downgrade if things are severe.
Moore is priced at $6,500 on DraftKings but should be priced closer to the $7,500 range based on his production with Fields. He will be one of my most-rostered players this weekend.
Moore is my WR12 and a top-25 play, assuming the weather cooperates.

Reminder: I have leveled my tiers across RB, WR and TE to help with flex lineup decisions. So, getting to Tier 1 is hard — often, Tier 2 is where you will find my highest-ranked TE.
Tier 4 – Taysom Hill
At the risk of sounding like a broken record on Hill, I will keep things brief here — but I have to write about him because he continues to rank far too low across the industry. Last weekend, he accumulated 17 opportunities with 13 rushing attempts — three from inside the five-yard line — two targets and two dropbacks. Since taking over a more significant role in Week 6, the do-it-all weapon averages 11.4 opportunities and 14.3 fantasy points per game.
This weekend, the Saints are five-point favorites over a Panthers team that allows the most rushing TDs per game (1.7) and the eighth-most yards (125). The Saints shouldn’t need to throw much to win, and they will either have a less-than-100% Derek Carr under center or turnover machine Jameis Winston.
Hill didn’t practice on Wednesday due to foot and left-hand injuries, so we must monitor his practice status to close out the week. If healthy, There is a significant chance we will see season-high utilization numbers for Hill in Week 14. He doesn’t have a high probability of gaining a yardage bonus on DraftKings, but at $5,400, he is the cheapest of the top TE options.
Hill is an absolute SMASH play and ranks 20 spots ahead of industry consensus as my No. 58 player, and you could argue I am still too low.
Tier 4 – Kyle Pitts
Pitts notched his highest route participation since Week 2 with a 90% outing in Week 13, and in two of the last three games he surpassed a 25% target share.
While predicting utilization with Arthur Smith is a fool’s errand, we can at least say Pitts has shown some life in recent weeks. This doesn’t suddenly make Pitts a high-end TE1, but his historical comps have finished as the TE11, averaging 10 points per game — higher than his current rank of TE17 with 7.9 points per contest.
The 23-year-old ranks No. 1 in the NFL with 2.29 air yards per route run out of all TEs with at least 250 routes. Pitts resides in a challenging run-first offense with suspect QB play, but he still has the skillset to come through with a big game — especially if the increase in routes persists.
The Buccaneers have given up receiving yardage by the truckload, ranking as the third-worst unit, allowing 278 per game. Considering all the factors, Pitts is a very enticing play at $3,700 on DraftKings in Week 14.
Pitts ranks 12 spots ahead of industry consensus as my No. 91 player overall and my TE13.
